the player "comma's trader" is 99% suspected of using a trade bot in jita (which doesn't reflect well on a player name comma either...)
I opened 42 trade windows with this person to obscure their screen, Not a SINGLE one was closed over 30 minutes. He auto-rejects all convo attempts. And he updated his 800mm tungsten plate order with the same increment on the same time intervals while these windows were open.
Petitioned...
(can we name players on forums? I assume so since we do it with scams all the time but if not hopefully a mod will clear this up.)

I'd say he's either suspected or he's not. What's 99% suspected?

it means maybe he chose to leave open all those trade windows, update in a suspicious manner, continually, and ignore emails. There's no way for me to know that. Hopefully the mods will be able to determine if that is the case

It means the OP is 99% sure that someone else suspects him of being a bot.
As for him actually being a bot, I personally am 100% sure he is a bot. They exist (a quick search on google proves this), and they are easily available.

I would recommend that the OP carefully edit this post. Petitioning suspected botters is a good thing. Announcing your petition on the forums seems to be boastful, and serves no purpose other than opening yourself up to a harrassment claim from the botter.
And as a general thought: disclosing the methods you use to "detect" a bot is a double-edged sword. Other players should be made away of the methods, but you have to remember that the bot-makers are reading these forums too. The current generation of market bots are quite stupid - please don't encourage a smarter generation.

Edited by: Ender2006 on 24/05/2009 17:50:08 sadly it doesn't seem to be a stupid program :( he won't update into the sell orders
I considered that but frankly the trade window thing has been mentioned several times and the hope is that once public awareness is raised CCP might be goaded into doing something

Fair enough. As far as "goading" CCP into fixing market bots... hrm. I could be quite bitter about CCP's utter indifference, but it wouldn't serve any purpose. Good luck with your petition.
