Firstly, yes... I know need a name for this damn thing. I only started work on it yesterday (got a fairly decent prototype working late last night however) after I asked people in the lounge for ideas on "something to develop, as I'm bored". This was the bastard child that spawned.
I've developed a simple tool that reads market history cache files and exports the information to a variety of formats (CSV, XML, SQL export dumps for your own system to parse). It currently works, albeit in a "proof of concept" format - and I'm hoping to finalize a prototype by the morning. It comes with a number of search and filter options, and as well as exporting the data will also allow you to "browse" the cache files (in a sense, more on this later).
I'm currently accepting applications for the first wave of beta testers, and hoping to push the beta out in the early evening tomorrow. I'm limiting this wave to 15 testers, and you can evemail me in-game to request a slot. Priority will be given to people who will actually make good use of this tool, not people who just want to download something new and shiny.
The application itself can run on Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. I will also be releasing a web based version of this application (upload your files and it'll spit out what you want) at one point in the future.
Feature requests and suggestions can be made here or via evemail.

While you're at it and still prototyping: some sort of library would be great (standard Win32 DLL ...) -- EVEWalletAware - an offline wallet manager |

I'll be providing a number of libraries that will allow people to manipulate the cache files. Application developers needing it in a specific format are welcome to contact me via evemail for further discussion. :) -----

Has anyone heard any more about this? Last I heard was "I'll send out the download links to everyone later today" at the start of the week. I'm itching to go! ---------- EVE Markets - global price trends at your fingertips |
