Is there such a thing anymore?
I can lol around in nullsec for hours on end and never meet a soul, but not so much with Empire. Even the dead-ends, backwaters and potholes seem to be chock-a-block full of bots running missions these days.........
Are there any regions/places within regions in Empire that aren't little more than bot infested cesspools, isk-sales spammers and other cretins?
I swear, if CCP really, truly loved us, they would declare sporadic "Concord Holidays" where Concord would be on vacation, at a conference, or maybe just too stoned and shagged out to respond.
We could really give the place a good and proper cleaning then............

High sec systems with no stations often have no people. Also can find backend systems near khanid and amarr space which have not many people.

What "seveal k people"?
Bots and isk selling spammers are constantly creating new accounts named sdihdxiufh and kdfhpSDIun and pdFIuni and such.
They are used to it.

Possibly, but can Derelik properly be called "Empire Space"?
I suppose it is, in the same way that the East End is part of London.....or that Scotland is part of the UK....not exactly great bragging rights.......

This is true. You can tell you've reached this empty space when the jukebox music changes from something like Green Nebula to Dueling Banjos.

Apparently "Empire Space" is now limited to The Forge, various pipes from 0.0 to Jita, and the "backwater" area around Amarr.

One of the oldest and most useless threats made is "if you change such and such, billions of players will quit and your company will die".
There are examples of such changes in the MMO industry. I might even agree that making hisec lawless would be one of them. But that one line is so ****ing annoying and overused, it makes the poster look like an idiot.
CCP are a company that makes a game. I would argue, especially considering years of watching their mindset and resolve, that they care just as much about the game they make as they do about getting new customers. If not more.
They could have made WoW in space a long time ago. Instead, they made EvE, and have kept it the violent, vicious world that it's always been (for the most part).
I doubt they would make any change just for the sake of more customers, especially if it contradicted with what they intend the product to be.
I really don't know of another game design company that actually seems to give a **** about their product.

We just keep moving the bots around to make sure they annoy you. The rest of empire is nice and quiet. It's a well-kept secret. Oh dear, I've said too much, where's the eraser...
On the other hand, labelling anyone who you don't agree with as a bot is really childish, but then, your post makes that quite clear anyway. ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... Environmental Effects

A positive side, is at least Empire feels like a bustling metropolis. You want the country, you don't find it in NYC.

Excuse me?
Where did I say anything about someone not agreeing with me?
Are you trying to say that Empire space doesn't have bot mission runners, bot miners and bot traders?
Are you not clear on what a "bot" is?
Or are you just looking for a fight?
Your response as quoted is nonsensical.

I think a better question, is are you suggesting that nulsec does not also have bot macro miners?

That's silly. Bots cant survive in losec. It's full of pirates camping every gate in titans and warp bubbles, insta popping any travelers who don't give the secret signal.

No, no. Simple question, simple answer. Do you feel that there are bots being used to macro mine isk which is then sold illegitimately, all the while happening in nulsec?

Check out Minmatar space. It's a constant stream of macro haulers moving through seemingly every low sec system. Yeah they get destroyed a lot but it's NPC corp bot characters carrying nothing of value to anyone other than their agent (and the guy on the user end making all the LPs from the missions he's botting) so who cares?

Your troll thread is clearly too "deep" for GD. I certainly don't understand it, but then I'm notoriously stupid so I don't know if I'm necessarily the best yardstick.

It is still, in a lot of cases, a perfectly viable argument Ruze. Annoying as it may be they are a company, and a company's goal is to make profit. They are not going to intentionally make a large change that is going to ruin their profit by losing subscriptions. I would also say that making all of Eve into lowsec would be that large of a change (though the point is moot as neither of us believe CCP would do that).
Originally by: Ruze Ahkor'Murkon

WIS. That's not to say I have any problem with it, but it is pretty much completely outside of the realm/genre/whatever you want to call it of Eve. It's designed to get more subs and that's it. Which hey, to me is great. More people to play with/against.

Eh they're out there, I just think CCP is relatively smarter and listens to their players more.

Yes, and they often pay rent to the alliances with sov for the rights to do so.

It's what you implied, as the subsequent posts illustrated (Ruze understood what I was on about), including, say, this one at random:
Originally by: Furb Killer So what you are saying is that basicly everyone who is in empire (or only the ones in quiet systems?) is a bot?
Good to know i am a bot.
You (the OP) seem to forget that most people posting about a load of bots in empire and how they'd like CONCORD to take the day off aren't talking about popping bots, they're talking about a free-for-all on any and all players. Your original post definitely did not state 'and a lot of genuine player traffic in Empire that's perfectly fine, and oh oops, they'd lack CONCORD protection too'.
It's a pretty simple logical progression. ___ My views may not represent those of my corporation, which is why I never get invited to those diplomatic parties... Environmental Effects

Edited by: Ms Delerium on 02/05/2009 11:11:28 Despite the usual bragging on the forums about "growing balls" and such... most of players live on high-sec (80%). It's a fact: people don't like to lose ships.
I think you meant high sec and not Empire, which is high sec + low sec
And those who live on lowsec or 0.0 its because all their friends/gang/alliance live with them (19.99%). Near to nobody (0.01%) wants to be regularly over a system with lots of neutrals and his ass not protected by daddy-concord
From OP you seem not to like lowsec either cause you are asking for free, secured space. So you just another carebear but even worse a carebear that wants all the system roids rats and trade for his own
It's a matter of supply and demand. Players demand concord protection and supply is limited --> the crowd
