I haven't had much time to play since the last patch, but this weekend I was finally able to log in some game time.
What the heck is up with the warp graphic since the patch? It looked OK for me pre-patch, but now it's so pixelated, it looks like blocks of light streaming past my ship.
I thought they were going to try and FIX the warp affect on this patch? I run with medium graphics settings. Is this something affecting everyone?

The only way they'l fix it is by scrapping it and rolling back to the one they had on SISI for a short while. You know, the one that everyone loved and gave tonnes of positive feedback on, but then you scrapped it anyway and made it the ECCM effect instead?

They broke the warp effect while trying to implement the new one. Some pretend to not be seeing it but CCP kinda admitted to it so
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

Everything on highest - except for bloom, I keep that off since some missions are a bit too bloom happy. NO, YOU. |

Hmm, perhaps it's only really noticeable at medium settings or something like that. Looks really bad on my system at medium settings...and by really bad I mean so bad that it's like a joke. After Apocrypha though it looked decent...just since the last patch its...like this.

No settings affect it. And since CCP said they didn't have time to fix it before they rolled out the patch...

..I don't believe you. It's kind of subtle for me, though. I might not have noticed it if I wasn't trying. Are you sure yours is exactly the same?

That doesn't even make sense, why would I reply to a thread saying "I think it's fine for everyone and it's just you" if quite a few people are having it, but not everyone is? I saw the thread about warp pixelation but it wasn't a few thousand pages long so...

It seems to be intermittent on one of our two computers. Happens in one system and not in another system.

I may have misinterpreted your answer, but that's mainly because it seems to fall into a standard category of dismissal that always shows up whenever a bug is brought onto the boards: the "nu-uh, I'm fine so everyone else is as well" kind of reasoning (in many ways the opposite of Ferret's universal inclusion). ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

I honestly haven't had any pixelated effects while warping, pre or post patch. However, I do still have that annoying bug where a pod's warp tunnel always points downward. Maybe I spend more time in a pod than most people, but that one's really starting to **** me off. (Also, I'm not a fan of the jets on pods.)
Just wanted to chime in, since Ferret seems so convinced that everybody has this bug. Granted, he'll probably just accuse me of lying too. This is a post. It says stuff. |

If you're so sure that it hasn't affected you then fine. It must not be affecting everybody for whatever reason. Doesn't hurt to make sure.
But settings don't affect it, as my card supports highest settings and none of them change it, I've tried them all. The devs didn't say that it was only affecting certain hardware or settings either (they knew about it for awhile on test).
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

What I am seeing is worse than that. If you turn your camera perpendicular to the effect to look at the graphic as it flashes by is where i see the blocky pixelation the worst.
It's true my G-card is getting long in the tooth, but until now, EVE has always rendered in crystal clear graphics. I've always used the premium client.

You mean this one? http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1043185 http://dl.eve-files.com/media/0904/newnewwarp.wmv
Yeah, that was awesome. I haven't seen the ECCM effect lately, but you are saying they used that effect for it?

I have this too, and what it looks like to me is that not only is the warp graphic rotated 90 degrees, but the pod orientation is too (maybe they're tied together). I always thought the pod should point upward like it does in station (I could have a bad memory too).
