Best I can get at the moment is 1000-1250 ISK per LP with Amarr LP. I see some people quoting 3500ISK/LP in some mission threads.
Whats the best that can be achieved on a regular basis? Who is the best Faction for LP to ISK conversion or can equal rates be gotten with all Factions? |

LP-to-ISK is based on market trends. Much as is the case with mission salvage, LP rewards are based on supply and demands. Since the most popular race of character, and ships to fly for missions, is Caldari, a good number of people fight for Caldari corps and kill Caldari rats (Guristas). As such, Caldari LP is generally the least profitable as there are so many people offering the LP items in competition with one another. Likewise, Gurista salvage is worth less because there is so much of it. To answer your question, first identify the least popular race for which missions are run. I'd say Amarr or Minmatar.

It's all based on demand and price for the items given by the corporation. I've heard reports of 3500 per LP before. The few times I've gone that route in the lower level missions I was running I was pulling near 2000 per.
Look at what it costs you to get the item; many things have a cost in ISK, sometimes with just a direct payment, and sometimes with an item that must be exchanged. Look at how much those LP store items typically sell for. Take the sell price of a full batch of items, subtract that monetary cost of getting those items, divide by the number of LPs needed to buy that batch of items. The result is the ISK/LP for the item. The only remaining question is how fast can you sell them.
So much of it depends upon the local market that there are no hard and fast rules. Just like invention, production, and trading profits require you to be able to read the market and pick items that can make a profit, you have to do the same with the LP store if you're trying to use your LP to earn money.
Nobody is going to tell you what to use; if they did, more people would be purchasing those items with LP and selling them, thus driving the price down. You have to do your own market research. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

You can be sure that when people are making 3500isk/lp they sure as hell aren't going to tell you what they are doing.

I'm one of those making 3500 isk/lp. I told probably 50 people exactly what I'm doing to make those returns (alliance people) so they too can make more isk. Like much advice given, few actually use it.
Hints.
Find an item with relatively low cost and high returns. Find a good place to sell.
I'm an Amarr - its not rocket science! I'm buying tags on the open market as my own efforts aren't enough to collect the tags. I buy some materials in bulk. eg earlier this week I purchased over 5000 tags. Tags also tend to be from factions, and I dont want to ruin my factional standings in empire space.
The popular Amarr corps aren't the best. Basically the experienced players advising there use for mission runing are giving flawed advice. With games like Eve, flawed advice from experienced players is nothing new.
If you haven't found anything by browsing lp stores on your own efforts, use one of the lp store tools on the net (is several online databases, even 2 year old data showing what lp stores have can give good data). Look at the cost of materials vs what you can sell for. Everything has a cost. There are always items that convert better than others.
I had a discussion once with one '4 year playing' idiot once who argued that tags had no cost as they had them in their dock. ie if they put them on the market they had no value? As I said, another 'experienced' idiot.
Items that more players can use better than ones limited to a faction.
Then there is selling. A quick sell in Jita is going to be bargin basement prices. The difference between 3500 isk and 2000 isk may be as little as someone selling in Jita vs selling elsewhere so choose your selling location/s well. There are people who buy in Jita, move the goods to better location and make the difference in price as their own profit.
I dont scam. Never have, never will. Isk making in eve is very easy. When I started playing the first thing I noticed doing a starter mission which asked me to buy 2x afterburners for the agent that these cost 20k eachn locally. Within an hour I had flown out and picked up every afterburner I could afford (3000 isk cost) and dropped them back at the station I got the mission from and undercut the 20k local price with 19k each. Overnight I had already made over 300k profit. Soon the price war dropped to like 9k each and I discovered better thing much smaller than afterburners to trade. Opportunities are everywhere. In under 24 hours I had discovered books and is good money in books - buy low, sell at retail at trade hubs. Manufaturing, you can buy mateials low then sell at retail or make other items to sell at retail. Can make money on cosmos missions - buy tags low, sell high at cosmos mission agent locations.
If a complete noob can make isk so easily, experienced players should have no trouble.

To answer your question more directly (without giving too much away, of course) ... - avoid the Caldari combat LP store - science and industry implants are good - high-damage ammo is good - most modules are bad - most ships are bad - pirate faction LP stores are extremely profitable if you have the means
Good luck!

All markets are not the same. Amarr is that region's equivalent of Jita, therefore LP store items will have a lot of sellers continually undercutting each other, thus lowering the price.
Return on LP should be considered a long-term investment, not a quick turnaround. You will have a steady income from them, but they may take a long while to sell at the price and market you sell them from.
Don't rely on them to finance your next endeavor, just let them be a pleasant surprise to your wallet balance every time you move a few.

I just started like 2 months ago and it took me no more than half an hour to work out the best lp to isk items from the Caldari and Amarr Navy lp stores.

I did up a spreadsheet last night on LP store goodies. I only used direct LP,LP+ISK and LP+ISK+Single Mod trade items, I didnt calculate anything that requires chips/tags/insignias etc.
Conversion came in at 400-1800 ISK/LP. Majority of the conversions were below 900 ISK/LP with only a handful in the 1400+ ISK/LP range. All these were at Jita Sell Order prices.
Can do a quick turnaround but I'd end up taking 30-50% loss in ISK/LP.
