All I was able to find is this: This refers to Range within which you wish to search. If you train the skills that allow you to start these jobs remotely (Supply Chain Management or Scientific Networking), you can install jobs remotely according to the level of each skill, simply query the status of any installed job, look for a free slot, or queue up your own jobs.
My question is, Do the bpo's have to be at the same location that the research will be done and I can start the job/s remotely? or can the bpo's be in different location and possibly 3 different locations. example, me at location x, bpo's at location y, and facility the the job will be performed loaction z?
If nothing I said id true then someone please explain to me how this works?
Thank You

it means that you can start finish jobs remotely....the BP's need to be in teh station that you want the research done in. -----------------------

Scientific Research is poorly described in order to use it, you must abide to certain conditions, here they are, clear: The blueprint and installation must both be "here".
By here, what I mean is that their situation must be in the lab, installation, or station there's one thing of note, it's a minor exception: if you're in a corp, and their in the same system then a remote job can come to fruition (I know that these rules seem to lack intuition)
How so? In order to avoid looking like a mere langar remember that corp jobs share a corporate hangar That is to say, the input and out may be in different spots, so you can't be a lout; the output of the slot's assigned vocation will always end up in the remote location
what you can never do, in a corp or not is run any job from a remote system spot Unless it's a POS, you can't run slots remote which makes me want to type strings of emotes.
The system must therefore always be the same If you don't like that, then you've Devs to blame.

The Blueprint must ALWAYS be in one of two locations, regardless of skills.
- In the lab you are using OR - In an office that is in the same system as the POS
Without Scientific Networking, you need to be at the POS. (The blueprint can still be in an office in that system) With Scientific Networking you can be as far away as the skill lets you be (system / 5 / 10 / 20 / region jumps away) provided you are in the same region. In the case you are not at the POS the BP can ONLY be in an office in the same system as the POS. (It can not move outside that system, and you can't remotely see into the lab).
The same applies for factories and the supply chain management skill.
All other materials that are not the BP need to be in the lab itself, any produced materials (invented BPCs / copied BPCs) will appear in the lab itself. |

From Eve-guides.com
Scientific Networking Skill
If you don't have a station with an OFFICE in the same solarsystem as your POS labs then the BPOs HAVE to be manually put in the POS labs to do any work on them. This is cast in stone and there's no way around it, pure and simple.
If you have a station with an office in the same solarsystem then with the skill Scientific Networking trained to Level 1 the BPOs can stay safe in the station (see last paragraph for an exception to this).
The skill Scientific Networking allows YOU to start lab jobs remotely, this does NOT mean the BPOs can be located anywhere out of the same solarsystem as your labs. The pre-requisites for Scientific Networking are Laboratory Operation 4 (which requires Science 3).
* Level 1 - allows for range within the same solarsystem (you need this to do jobs leaving the BPO in a station in the same solarsystem). * Level 2 - extends the range to 5 jumps (that means YOU can be up to 5 jumps away to start a job, the BPO HAS to either be in the POS Lab or in the solarsystem station where your POS is) * Level 3 - extends the range to 10 jumps. * Level 4 - extends the range to 20 jumps. * Level 5 - extends the range to the full region your POS is in.
There's also another way to keep the BPO in a corp hangar in the same solarsystem as your POS Labs, simply leave the BPO in the station corp hangar and warp to your POS lab and initiate the job from there. This way you do not need to train the Scientific Networking skill at all. |

A word of Wisdom the number of Jumps is only within the same region.
You can be in the next system across(1 jump) with Scientific Networking 4 and still not be able to start a job, because they are different regions :(
