But I feel it needs to be said here as well.

Games are supposed to challenge you and ideally they are supposed to be multiplayer. That way you learn from defeat and you learn from winning. I tell you it's the god damned mothers and their sugar coating and foam padding that are destroying the world today. Look. *** are ***. Dead is dead. And if you shelter your kids you only propagate the downfall of society. Teach them everything that you know and don't for one second presume to know better than them because you are their parent. Really I want to go out and slap people sometimes. I sometimes do and it never turns out good. Games were created to test one person against another. To see who is the better. This is also why there are grades and honor roles in schools and why the person that wins the gold medal stands higher than those that win the silver and bronze. Unfortunately though I see every day where these honors are stripped from our achievers and the field is "evened out" for everyone else. It reminds me of a little story I read once called Harrison Bergeron. Why does everything in games need to be fair? Also, why do game developers accept this? I for one celebrate being better than others in games and would like us select few to rejoice in our dominance of the less gifted. I.E. ....r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d..... By removing the lines and placing the intended topic into quote format you can unbreak the forum. For example:

Of course if you will not see the full effect of this example as it is now following the same broken forum effect as the original op.

Considering you broke the forum in doing so, yes.
And yeah, love EVE, there is no 'Fair' here.

Games are generally supposed to be fun. Some people define fun as 'challenge'. Others don't.
MANY people, however, are completely incapable of judging an opinion that is contrary to their own as being valid. They are fundamentally flawed in the head, unable to see that there is very rarely a 'right' and 'wrong' where opinions are concerned.
You, Op, feel that games should all be about challenge.
Someone else feels that they should be about entertainment.
BOTH OF YOU ARE RIGHT.
This, of course, is why we have many different types of games and sports. Some appeal to one type of person, others appeal to another. The problem arises when the shortsighted people of one group try to impose on the people of another. When one side tries to change another sides game, so to speak.
EvE is more focused on challenge than other games, I'd agree there. But that doesn't mean EvE is right and other games are wrong. It just means that EvE is right for certain players.

Name me one sport that is more about "fun or entertainment" than challenge and I will accept your reply. SCHALAC HAS SPOKEN |

So you automatically denounce anything that doesn't fit your own mental definitions.
That's actually the point I was trying to make.

No, I don't denounce it... really. But what is he talking about? Is he talking soap opera WWE wrestling or is he talking about actual gold medal wrestling like the actual Olympic sport? SCHALAC HAS SPOKEN |

I think that's why I keep coming back to here. While CCP tries their damnedest to make everything sugarcoated and user friendly, some **** in a (insert random ship type that can kill yours here) is always there to make sure that what you are attempting doesn't happen. Really it seems EVE is the only MMO like that anymore. SCHALAC HAS SPOKEN |

And here i was, sitting happily in my huddle of used pepsi cans and empty whiskey bottles(don't ask why the cans are used), thinking that games are for entertainment, or for better lack of terminology, "for excrement and acts of amusement such as giggles", and then you come along telling me that i have to be better then anyone else as it "is the way of the dragon young crasshopper" and now i don't know if i should go and jump out of the nearest window or contemplate how i managed to fit this all in one sentence

I love it when people demonstrate flawed reasoning in such a clear way. Taking a questionable assumption, assuming it is true, and then working outward from there to create a labyrinth of reasoning, interweaving additional flawed assumptions. It could be considered an artform, definitely not logical reasoning though.
News flash. Your conceptual definitions are not fundamentally true simply because you lack the imagination to perceive the myriad of alternate definitions that reside in the minds of people other than yourself. ----------------------------------------------------
