Edited by: Bigfood on 13/03/2009 15:53:10 A static noise starts as the file is opened the comms screen is black and only slowly begins to show a blurred picture of someone standing in front of the Holorecorder pushing buttons on a console right in front of him. Suddenly the picture becomes sharp and the young Gallente looks on the right side out of recorder view talking to someone.
äIt finally works? Ha! I'll never let you guys spent corpfunds on such Minmatar trash again.
He turns to the camera clearing his throat and begins to talk with a solemn expression in his face. In the background three flags are hung at the wall to the right one with the emblem of the Gallente Federation, the left showing the Minmatars national Flag and in the middle a flag with the Corplogo of the FIA on it. The sound seems a little low but begins to increase after he started talking to a normal level.
äWell, to start let me introduce myself: I am Ben Royaka, Capsuleer and CEO of the Federal Investigations Agency. The events of the last few days namely the destruction of Seyllin I have caused much grief to me and my fellow Gallente partners and corporate members, we hope that the reason why this happened will soon be discovered what leads me to the main point of why this and following messages will be recorded. We think that what Creodron did was the right step.
The universe needs to know more about the wormholes an the new space they link to. So we are about to launch a private funded Expedition to that space. We will try to make any findings and our sensor data available to public as soon as we find a way to establish a comm stream. We're nearly ready to set off and to follow the footprints of Lianda Burreau. Our last equipment has been purchased and is currently packed into the participating ships.ô
The message ends and fades out to a black screen.

Day 1 11.03
The new message is recorded in a higher quality than the one before the Gallente is standing infront of a big holoscreen showing a blurred image of some wabbeling colors twisting in the middle of the screen.
äOur Expedition has started and our convoy left the solarsystem of hek for the low security area of the Metropolis region where we hoped to find a more or less stable wormhole signature, I will not give more than necessary information about the convoys participating ship classes for our own security. At the moment this message is recorded in a Covert Ops ship class Helios named Safecracker which is my own ship and the expeditions flagship. To give a short brief of what happened to us in the last hour: we found a wormhole shortly after entering the low security space around hek. I took it to my duty as the best sensor equipped ship within the convoy to take the first step and enter the wormhole after the travel through ... I'm sorry we cant give much information about that as our sensors were jammed until we got spit out on the other end of the phenomena, we did some standard operation test which confirmed that small ships like the Helios could pass the wormhole without being damaged significantly. The scanequipment didnt respond to any known ship signatures within the system which consisted of 7 planets. Soon the rest of the convoy started to make their way through the hole the smaller ships first but as one of our escorting battleships tried to enter the wormhole began to flash and our sensors were collecting some sort of disturbing data which forced me to give the retreat command for the convoy. The ships that were in the unknown space and the ones nearly entering the hole were reported back in the known system and I was about to follow them.ö
He sighs and some sort grinning is playing around his facial features.
ôTo make it short the bridge vanished, leaving my crew and me trapped in an unknown part of space without any chance to communicate with the rest of the expedition. We were desperate to find a way out and thanks to our expanded scan equipment we were able to locate another wormhole in that system which eventually leaded us to known space again.ö
He seems to be uneasy.
ôAt that point our Corporation was enlisted within the Minmatar militia and I only can tell you that it surely was my personal bad luck to find a wormhole out of this lonley place but to face the Caldari Navy on the other side.ö
A thin laugh can be heard.
ôWithin the reach of FTL communication again I dropped a short message to the expedition and told them that we were out of the wormholespace but still not safe and that we were able to join the expedition again soon. Well I hoped so at least and that hope was not belied after a little chase which lead us out of the Caldari State borders and back to Minmatar space we joined the convoy again. So what was in there? We located several planets as pointed out before and moons but we did not search for anything as the most equipment that would have helped to uncover some of the mysteries was with the convoy.ö
He steps to the right side and now the holoscreen can be seen in its whole. Camera Drone Feed
ôThis is a live feed of one of our camera drones outside this ship, its the event horizon of another wormhole we found shortly after our rejoining to the fleet. As this may be the last message we are able to send before the expedition vanishes from the known universe, or most likely the last message until we find a way to broadcast out of this unknown space. We go 'cause we seek knowledge and we go because somewhere out there must be the answer to what happened yesterday. For the Federation, for the Republic and mankind!ö
He salutes and the messages ends suddenly in a black image.

I am sorry that I do still have no visual recordings about the event for our CEO Bigfood ordered us to remove the best available sensor equipment from Minmatar scientist and exchange it with Caldari military crap.
Most of my technicians did everything but mutiny and made clear sure they didn't like that Caldari computers and it will take a loooong time to remove the Minimatar computers from my ship. It was something about free software and licences, missing security levels, beeing corporate slave by using that and stuff like that, I am not sure and the chief engineer used some faecal words to describe the Caldari stuff he was ordered to work with. But the end of the story is, that we have no recorded data of the things that happend inside.
To be true our caldari ships computer had a lot of trouble to identify the things that were coming. That clueless thing didn't show anything on tactical display that was not known to him, so I had to order to remove the FOF-detection and feed raw data to see anything at all.
My advice to all explorers out there is therefor: do not use Caldari crap. Best use are ladar- or magnetometric sensors. For the Ladar sensors do best with their high sensor resolution and the advantage fo the megnetometric sensor is not the resolution but the range they have. Don't use Caldari or Amarr Empire stuff. Those military grade sensors are only of certain value in a war but will not give you usable results on anything unknown.
Most people think military grade is best to use. But it's not true. It is just simple to use by low skilled personal, it is sturdy and rugged and cheap and exactly sufficiently for its purpose. If you use drones, stick with Minmatar or Gallente ones. I do not know of any Amarr or Caldari drone that is worth it's money.
The crew was selected from volunteers. Only those who wanted to solve the enigma of Seylin without being preoccupied by hate or revenge were allowed to join. I had one Amarr that I had to reject for he wanted to mission the people inside and bring him his god.
Missioning is no part of our expedition and I think the Amarr god has caused enough damage and pain in this world to permit him any influence in this new one. We might be forced to drop out of the regular militia for fighting them but you can be sure, anywhere we find some of that praying bigoted bastards we will stop them poisoning more wells. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS

Day 2 12.3
ôWe're back again, in known space, to be correct in the Caldari State and the system named Taisy. We just made it through or at least me as the Convoy is still packing the rest of the equipment into the transport ship out there. First off we were not able to establish Galnet communication during the time we spent in that new system. We had some complications with our repeater unit so thats the first time you hear from us again. We have scanned the system for the last 24 hours and found several refineable materials such as Pyroxeres and other ore, gas clouds too, we took some test samples of each. So how is the convoy able to live out there for a longer time? Simple as it is we got a control tower with us. After placing the POS at a suitable moon we managed to get our survey equipment online and scan some of the moons for any known harvestable minerals ..... the results .. well .... nothing. Theres nothing of use out there .... these moons seems to be out of bare stone or any other material that the Survey scanners could identify. Ofcourse the sleepers! It was rumor but there are drones out there ... I wont call them intelligent life but they are powerful using for us unknown weapontechs. They're tough executing their movements precise and deadly for the unprepeared. Somehow they seem to be able to scan and hunt down Covert Ops ships with their cloaking enabled, they cant lock them but they know where the ship is located and start to approach it. Our expedition team consisting of several battleships and support cruisers was able to take them down relative easy, leaving smoking wrecks of them. After the Sleeper drones were destroyed we were able to extract some databases and alien construction materials out of the wrecks. We have not the necessary equipment to carry out research on the found materials, so we will store them here in Caldari State space and ...ö
Suddenly red lights begin to blink in the room leaving the Gallente startled and quizzically looking at his communicator as a voice answers his call.
ôCaptain we received an emergency signal through the wormhole. It's the convoy's guardships they're being attacked on the other side!ö
ôI'm on my way!ö
Ben closes the connection leaving the following scenes unrecorded until he gets back to end his report. His face shows sorrow.
ô20 minutes ago the convoy was attacked by a Zealot class heavy assault cruiser, the attacking vessel belonged to the Intreprid Crossing Alliance. The attacker was shot down by two of the convoy's combatships a Raven and a Maelstrom class. The transportship with most of our equipment loaded in it including the mobile base. It saddens me to admit that during the evacuation we lost contact to one of the expeditions battlecruisers which is now left behind as we move on .. we hope that the wormhole coordinates get to the ship in time. So far .. the next message will be recorded after we enter the next wormhole hopefully we'll be able to communicate from the other side through the bridge then.ö
He salutes and the message ends after displaying a datadump of cryptic sleeper databases. |

heh, coming from a filthy matar slave child, il take no technological critiscism. your ships look as though they were sewn together, wheareas those liberal, trash-eating Gallente look like they designed their shipss to be sexually attractive.
please leave the technology to the caldari-amarr alliance. one of us builds it, the other delivers it to the hearts of the meek.

Edited by: Izanami Rei on 16/03/2009 01:29:45 I find the Amarrian use of slavelabor to be tolerable at best, even with their slave labor based on generations of the former POW's of Matar rather than continiouslly resupplying their stock by taking new ones Like some of the crime Cartels. Even if its under the pretense of securing a place in paradise for those not of true blod then it isn't something to strive for, so the recent orders issued by the Empress are to be commended and should be welcomed openly. Please dont mock people with a background of servitude. Though you're right about the gallentean ships, they seem so.. overly extravagant for combat vessels.

You're welcome to mock the Maelstrom, the Thorax, the Tempest, the Hyperion, the Dominix, the Megathron, etcetera for their appearances, dear sir - but be sure you do it from out of range of their guns. It would be so terrible if an upstanding gentleman such as yourself were to have a nasty plasma-cataylsed foot-ingestion issue. ----- Andreus Ixiris Duty.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 21/03/2009 15:52:22 After I ordered the removal of that crappy caldari sensor-arrays my technicians provided me with some footage that was suddenly available. It was shot by some of our glorious warrior-drones that are not built for surveillance and the wild nature of wormhole space as well as active jamming equipment have reduced the quality a bit.
For one week our home was a small hangar in space, vulnerable but rugged. I called it the "Jurte". From that position we started our daily exploration into the unknown and returned with the results. Most of the time our team was alone in the nothing, while the sleepers of cause tried to protect their secrets from us. We do not have much feed from those fights just one that is slightly distorted from jamming equipment. It's showing a sleeper-cruiser.
We were well equipped to fight the sleepers and while I heared words about battles where capital ships were lost we can only say, they are very dangerous and not to underestimate enemy. Maybe we were just lucky maybe it was part of our preparation but we lost not one ship to them.
The sleepers are potential dangerous and if they should begin to move out of the wormhole systems into our space we would have a big problem on our hand. While our expedition was in fact of scientific nature we were prepaired to fight - sleepers or pirates. During our week we encountered several aggressive fleets inside the wormhole systems. Some were just scouts that tried to extort money, some were looking for blood. We were happy that we were in the position to give them what they longed for.
One day an Amarr fleet was suddenly on our scanners. They were not intrested in the secrets of this space, they were just trying to exploit it. The first thing they had done was contaminating the system with some rituals, left behind Pax Amarrian, scanning for possible slaves and beginning to destroy structures that were objective of our studies to rip minerals from it to feed their masters back in the empire. And to gain material for a cathedral.
After a short briefing we found us fully capable to drive the fleet back to the space where they belonged. And so they lost some nice ships. But as we were not looking for kills we let go their Orca class mining-subcapital fly home, with some good advice and a humble bill for the irreplacable rocket-fuel and ammunition that was wasted on their petty ships and disturbed our expedition about the reason of the deaths of Gallente citizen and Thukker by the recent desaster.
I don't think they will come again to build a damn cathedral in this place. I have been reading about the "purifing fire" that has destroyed Seylinn I. That is sick. We will not tolerate Amarr presence in the space that is not their business, which they will only visit for greed or for building cathedrals and where their presence will mock the deaths of hundred of millions of Gallente and Minmatar. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS
