Sleeper NPCs are so overpowered they crash my EVE client when I as much as select them in overview. *-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^ By the way, I am an Ishtar and T2 sentries fan. Fight to make the sentry damage rig work for all drones. |

I had this issue on Vista x64 Ultimate on SISI before last build. Last build fixed it. Whould be horrible if this "bug" still ended up on Tranc

Using x32 Vista Home, and it's not on SISI, it's TQ-post Apoc. *-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^ By the way, I am an Ishtar and T2 sentries fan. Fight to make the sentry damage rig work for all drones. |

We found a guy who was in a wormhole he had found via high sec in a drake. He died to a handful of assault frigates with a lot of tears.
I really like the sleepers, they are a fix for some of the most boring AI ever in an MMO and the fact they actually require a few basic tactics and thought to beat rather than just the proper "gear" People have had it too easy to pve in this for too long.
That being said I think they should be toned down in one way, I really dislike getting spammed with missiles from 400-500km away. ------------------------------------------------- Everyone hates goonswarm for one reason or another. ... And they promote ***gotism -Zurrar

Sleeper turrets blew up my untanked Heron while I was sitting around trying to add the sleeper ships to my overview settings. So since I couldn't scan my way out anymore I was quite happy about the fact that I bookmarked the wormhole that led back to my home system. But QQ and all that

Ditto, we ran into a Shield tanked Drake soloing QUITE well in shallow W space. He was completely T2 tanked and it took 4 BC's to take him down - he couldn't do crap for damage though.

My first sleeper encounter was cool- i really dotn think they need nerfing- only thing that was a pain is they all focus fired on my drones and wiped them out pretty quicklly- the AI of the sleeprs is nice though- one of the sleepers AI was pretty adaptive- when i realised my assault missiles where out of range and not hitting it i moved in closer only for the sleeper to actually move out of range again and tried to keep the distance- luckilly i had afterburners and used that to get back in range so my heavy assualts could hit him.
i thought that was pretty cool adaptive AI Huh? |

Yeah, basically. All NPCs have a optimal range that they try to keep at. It's not always noticeable since they're so slow, though. Seems like every sleeper ship has some kind of propulsion system, and they almost all web.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

Well i have an alt, but since he was in nice implant i let he be in station... My engage to sleepers was trough high sec since i was alone, and what i was really looking for was pvp not pve, but since i pass my myrm to that WH, i thought...what a hell, let me kill something at least.
So i was pvp fit myrm, probe launcher and salvager (lol)..... Scanned, and found 4 ''sleeper spots'' and i thought -"well, lets clear all this things, and head back to empire, drop the loot and go to sleep"- first i warped @100km make an aproach, carefully, i was on mwd, and at 95km i was allready beeing hit by the sentrys, then it came the frigates, and finnaly the cruisers. I got rid of the frigates with HobGobs II scooped them and changed to Hammers II, the minute i launched them, they start agroo the drones, scooped them again... engage was on me, and back again with the drones... well...i did this like 6623468237 times.... and at least with no cap... crippled drones, no range, no tank it came another wave..... and then i thought -"well, its late, and i have to go to work tomorow, i should head back before WH collapse"- what a coward i was, omg... i just had time to loot one wreck, leaved there the rest, one npc got away, i surely have to work more on this spleepers ''out-fits'' because solo'ing this is kinda hard u'll have to be prepared to alot of difrent things.
But i will put myself in the mud if anytime i get stuck in W-space. :)

You can solo, some CAs if you know what your doing. 1st and 2nd wave maybe. I'd avoid triggering subsequent waves and just loot salvage while tanking the trigger rats.
As an example, I took my Domi into a "Frontier" site. Now a sleeper ship will dish the same or more damage as a decent fit player ship of the same size. So I could take on 4 cruisers, couple of frigs, so spawn 1 and spawn 2, no problem. When spawn 3 turns up with a BS and 4 cruisers. No chance, time to warp out.
I've got 2 gripes with the sleepers.
1. NPC EW cheating. 2. Can insta lock and insta pop drones. They have no regard for tiny sig of small drones or any tracking problem. Sleeper Missiles too don't seem to follow player rules on sig/speed of target.
I do not believe this is in line with real player vs drone capabilities and needs toning down a little. IMO

sleepers will actualy check your max range and stay just out of it if thier optimal permits it. for example. if there where 3 sleeper frigates and they orbited you at 5 KM. you activate a large SB they will move to 7 KM orbit.
