nullThere are a lot of things that have crept up lately bu tthe one that the is realy anoying me is the sound board effects. Im getting one sound for the missile launchers while i got all seven launchers going,...."ONE SOUND!",...Whoosh! and thats it,...Ill here that about every 7 or 8 sceonds but ill see missiles going everywhere,... Now heres the kicker,....while im moderately zoomed in on my drake,...Im hereing the RATS fire louder than my missiles AND IM hereing ALL of ther fire. One good thing is that when im zoomed in on the rats,...im seeing and hereing the explosions in sync,... YES, my system is BEEFY enuf to handle th egraphics and the sound,...never had trouble with it before this patch,...well the last two or three patches tha tis,...bu tit seems that the last two or three patches have been laggy as all get out. I dont think its a Lag problem here,...its sync or priority that is at fault here. Before APOC was released,...the sound board was good,.....REAL GOOD on my end of things,...what ever you guys did in the patch for APOC,....You all really need to go back to the old sound board,... >>>---> In my business there is an old saying,...something that you all need to consider,... DONT FIX WHATS NOT BROKEN Clatu Verada Nicto -=+>xXx<+=- Fly safe and eat your vegatables

Alliance/ Corp Blue, Red, Nuet status is a bit buggy, Over view may show a red, but in local chat same toon is listed as Nuet. Conversly under guest in station a blue may be shown as Nuet (inconsistant). POS structures are firing at blues and not reds. Sorry CCP you have a bug somewhere. Prepatch this was not a problem. One would assume the hierarchy for settings precident would be:
Alliance-Corp-Player Overview...but the POS's or Stations seem to be getting the settings from two different databases. Relogging is NOT an option when in PvP / Fleet ops. Things that make you say Hummmm

Edited by: Captain Campion on 27/04/2009 21:39:48 Stacked Crystals
In your cargo you have 5x Scorch M stacked, and 5x Scorch M (Used). On your ship you have 5x Heavy Pulse Laser II grouped. Right click the group, and select Scorch M (Used). You will not necessarily be left with 5x Scorch M stacked in your cargo. You may get 2x Scorch M stacked and 3x Scorch M (Used) remaining. This makes it a total wtfpita to keep your cargo tidy.
Crystals used in a group have to have the same amount of damage. You can't have one crystal in a stack popping, you wouldn't know wtf was going on. So when you have a load of used crystals in your cargo, how do you know if you can load them into a group? They could all have different amounts of damage.

OK ... after playing for a while here's my feed back on a few things Apocrypha.
I think the new New Player Experience was a mistake.
1) By Randomly assigning schools and making the selection of a blood line meaningless you've taken away a lot from the milieu in which the characters exist.
2) Yes, I understood the problems with the attribute situation and allowing an attribute reallocation after some period of time would be a good thing.
3) Not helping the new players out by giving them sets of skills in their chosen fields is probably not doing them any favors.
4) Now - for experienced players creating new characters - it's great. WE already know what skills we need and what skills we don't so this works out wonderfully for us in creating alts.
5) A possible compromise would be to offer both paths. The old standard way and the new way.
6) One of the aspects of new character creation that I really don't like though is the inability to go back and change the appearance of your character when you first get a look at the small version of it. I put in a bug report about the old system where you were supposed to be able to do that - but it didn't work - and was very pleased when that was fixed. Now - here's the new system and you don't even have the option. The end result of which - is that if you create a character in that giant, full screen mode where you can adjust any number of subtle details from the slant of their eye brows to the curve of their lips - and then get to the relatively small picture that will be seen in game - you are often horror struck by how it turned out. All the subtly you spent so much time on can't be seen or is lost in the exaggeration of some other feature so that the effect is drastically different than the one you intended.
The very first character I created under the new system never played a second. That character went right to bio mass while I created an alt - where I had to start from scratch - ALL the work I'd done on that first character lost. That is frustrating. One of THE most important features of your character is their appearance - because THAT is what you are going to be looking at every day, week in, week out. Under the old system when I could change their appearance there were times I'd redo them several times before I got it right since it is impossible to know just what kind of change will be caused by shrinking the picture to what will be seen in game. Having to start from scratch each time just tires you out and you end up living with some character whose appearance you really don't care for.
The Skill Queue
1) The Skill Queue is wonderful. The only down side I can see is that if for some reason you took away the Skill Queue - I would quit the game before I'd go back to playing without it. Before the Skill Queue - I didn't train what I wanted to train - I trained what I could get done in the time I had to play. If I could only play an hour I had to work on my short time skills. If I could play several hours - then I could get some time in on my medium length skills and possibly turn them into short time skills I could finish off later, while putting on a long term skill for over night. Now - I can just start a skill and have it train each level right on up to V with little trouble. A vast, vast improvement. We are no longer slaves to the mid level skills. To quote Martin Luther King - "Free At Last! Free At Last! Thank God Almighty! We Are Free At Last!"

Just in Case there are still people that get the
"The transport has not yet been connected, or authentication was not succesful."
screen or the
"Connection to server lost."
error message right after you tried to log in: in my case it seems that my personal firewall ZONEALARM blocked some of the components that are needed since the Apocrypha-update. Before the update everything was fine for me using zonealarm. As all necessary programs had access rights and it still didnŠt work with zonealarm running I decided to switch to another firewall - now I can play again!!
Maybe this helps... |

First of all i think Apocrypha brought EVE a step forward. I like it mostly.
I dont like the new fitting menu, i dont want to see my spacecraft in the middle of the circle, taking away 80% of window-space that could be used by more important windows like my container/cargo/item collection.
I want more stability, please fix these random disconnects, i never encounterd them in any online game bevore. |

The drones were amazing when they had their upgrade, attacking what you wanted, having the sense to group up on targets. Now they've gone ******ed again! Order them to attack something, then 2 seconds later they'll be attacking something that you didn't tell them to attack. Also, if you have them set to 'Focus Fire', what part of that requires them to choose 5 different targets and spend an age trying to take something down alone....it just seems a step backwards! ----------------------------------------------

I don't know when the agent mission window was changed, but the new mission interface is problematic.
1. Under the old interface, when have a mission in progress with the agent, it automatically remembers this and brings up the mission briefing page when you initiate a conversation with the agent. This was a lot better than the current method.
2. When you complete a mission, you click "Complete Mission" and then "Continue". Ok the biggest problem here is, right after you click "Continue", there is a 0.5 sec - 1 sec flash of "Request Mission" at the same coordinate before it is spawned on the left pane. This had caused me to inadvertently request another mission from the same agent when all I want to do is close the mission and run another agent.
3. The same issue as 2. happens with "Request Mission" and "Accept" buttons. The momentary flash at the same coordinate before "Accept" moves to the right pane can and will cause someone to inadvertently accept the mission.
I'm hoping the above gets fixed in the next patch roll out.
