What happened to the star maps star size? First they were not there, now they are HUGE. Is there anyway to program in a size selection (small, Med, Large)? When I color stars by Sec Status they are all fuzzed out and too big. It becomes difficult to single out a star when there is a bunch of big fuzzy stars around it.
While on the star map subject, the new buttons on the top of the World Map Control Panel just don't fit. the old buttons looked and worked better. Why fix something that isn't broken?
Star graphic size selection. Old map buttons for switching map and layout.

Also there seems to be a new relative snapping feature that makes it hard to mouse over a specific star. It tends to be off a bit and snap to the wrong star.

Just to explain a little more about the "selecting a star problem", if I put the cross hairs of the pointer over a selected star, it usually doesn't select that star but instead the one next to it (either to the side or above). This makes checking out that systems info very annoying.

We really need to be able to switch between system and world map. The old on-screen buttons are gone, and I guess I don't know any key commands to do it.

Also, when map is flattened and you double click on a system, you zoom threw the map. As in the map goes black and you are no longer in "front" of it.
to the poster above, you can still switch between maps, but its called toggle.
Like I said, why "fix" that which is not borken?

Like I said before, the ability to switch from solar system to world map is still there its called Toggle now. It just doesn't work as well as the old map buttons.

Well, it seems to turn the solarsystem view into the starmap view and vice versa, I don't know how it doesn't do that.

I first I thought "Wow, the star map looks vibrant and colourful with more contrast" I was admiring it and checking all the different colours when I decided to zoom in on my location and scout for a system to warp to, suddenly I realised something was wrong, I couldnt clearly see where I was or my surrounding area very well for the large glaring bright dots!
The dots are nice, but I think your problem is the lines between them, they are now way too thin and get lost into the background, they needed thickening up, or the dots need much less feathering. |

Well, sh*t. Thanks for pointing that out. Believe it or not, I did see that button, but in no way linked it to changing between 'system' and 'galaxy' map.
Whatever. I appreciate the help.
