I have a pair of pet cockatiels and let me tell you, birds are a lot smarter then most people give them credit. Doesn't surprize me at all. _______________

Birds can be surprisingly smart. Particularly some parrots and corvids (crows/ravens in particular).
Here's a video of crows in a Japanese city using automobile traffic to get their food. Some local nut is too tough for them to break open themselves so they drop the nuts in traffic and wait for a car to run over it then go in and eat the good parts.
There are lots more examples of corvid intelligence that boggle the mind. Once I came upon an injured crow in the city. While hanging out and deciding what, if anything, I could do for the bird I started noticing sticks were falling around me. Turns out the injured crow's buddies up in the tree were breaking small branches off and trying to drop them on my head to make me go away (they were also rather vocal in their disapproval of me).
-------------------------------------------------- "Of course," said my grandfather, pulling a gun from his belt as he stepped from the Time Machine, "there's no paradox if I shoot you!"

Birds are disturbingly intelligent.
Increasingly so.
This video does nothing but reinforce my theory that mankind will eventually be enslaved by the birds.

It's not so much using the bread to lure the fish but he's figured out that he can get a fish sandwich too.

Soon, he'll be able to figure out how to make fish and chips, and he'll be completely indistinguishable from a Chav. Except slightly more intelligent. ______________________________________________ -My respect can not be won, only lost. It's given freely and only grudgingly withdrawn. |

Nah, you've all got it wrong. The real enemies are the machines. One day humans will create super-advanced artificial life capable of reproducing and modifying itself much more effectively than other conventional organisms. It will probably first be used as a weapon against other planets, but then, over time, it will consume the entire enemy planet, then begin to evolve to the point of space travel. Then we may as well all just give up.
I for one welcome our new Von Neuman Machine overlords.

He was obviously trying to get the whales to eat the people in the boat instead.
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming

Birds are incredible! I've seen a blackbird pull a worm out of the ground only for a sparrow that was sitting a few feet away in some branches to swoop in and pluck it out of the blackbird's mouth.
Crows are particularly impressive - they've turned one of our bird feeders upside down once so that it emptied on the ground - it was quite deliberate too, not some random spasm.
But yes - awesome bird in OP. -----
