Why harm mineral supply to the market? Reducing the mineral supply makes life worse for many through increased prices. Why remove so much mineral supply from the game with no compensation from other routes. ie. If you take out t1 modules from loot and take out rogue drone loot then mineral supply will drop significantly, have mining yields been improved to compensate?.... No. It would make mining more profitable (greater isk/hr) and help keep prices down So now lots of players who want to blow ships up are going to have to grind even more hours to cover their own loses. More bore less fun.
Ah the good old days when T2 cruisers were under 100mil, i remember them well.
You mine with, mining ships. Income made with mining, might be anywhere near other sources of income.
Give it maybe if mineral supply is reduced signficantly yield could be increased, who knows? |

I've been playing for a couple of hours and mostly have nothing bad to say. Mostly, except that I notice that my video card is working harder now, but I don't see a reason for it. I've had to lower a couple of graphics options to try to lower the workload on it, but it's still running more of a load than before Escalation. |

I tested my FPS in a few situations and with different settings yesterday before the expansion, and today after. I typically get 50% higher FPS. CCP: Nothing in the patch notes about this. Will there be more improvements to come? http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

I think your perception of what is mining is way off (hint, you dont use guns), and second off, how is mining in empire any worse. they clamping down on bots so no more robo fleets. and with minerals increasing in price, and less supply from drops, prices including low ends increasing. You stand to make just as much mining in empire, if not more, miners win everywhere.

First thing I notice after patching is that opening/closing the ESC menu and changing the monitor is MUCH faster now. Already loving the patch :) Winner of elections banned, runner-up demoted by rest of the body, the council controlled by the losers. CSM 7 is illegitimate, CCP should remember when dealing with them. I have been hearing rumors and also I think I heard it somewhere on the fan fest vids that Tracking disputer's might be getting changed to effect missiles as well. I know it might not necessarily be happening in escalation or inferno.
But is it a plan for the future or is it just conjecture. I also understand that it might not happen at all if its just a spit ball but is it being discussed as a feature that might be implemented sooner or later in any seriousness. |

You stand to make just as much mining in empire, if not more, miners win everywhere. whiners got to make sense, I doubt the lot of people whining ever touched a exhumer or know what one is. In line 3, please replace miner with mission runner. Should make more sense now. As for the rest: -you could get some materials from T1 drops and drone poo that you can't mine in hisec, and there are lot of minerals that have terrible rates in hisec. That part you cannot get in hisec anyhow except from buying from lowsec/nullsec/wh. And I doubt that this part will be offset by larger miner population in nullsec, just too many material dropped from the loop for that. In the end it can be expected that base minerals will rise a bit because of reprocessing decay, it will still mean that high end ore will skyrocket because there just won't be sufficient supply. So it will give great income boost to large nullsec entities that already have multiple sources, for the others there seems to be only evening out at best (miners) or decay (mission runners). Not to speak of starting players - yes there will be lot of industry production potencial that was just not business with stuff being dropped, but all that will put more pressure on mineral supply too so it may become especially pain in the *** for newbies.

Deadspace, officer, COSMOS, and faction items being in the market is great. No problem with that. But searching for many module types is now a pain in the ass. This and this is not helpful and the only way to remove officer mods, etc. from search results is to filter by price. Why shouldn't we be able to filter these out directly? |

I hope CCP will reconsider the drones. They have bounties now, and salvage, but they have nothing else. Any pirate faction rat has a bounty, they still drop something, salvage, and there's chance of a faction/officer spawn with valuable loot. I'm all for balancing, but this seems a bit unbalanced in the opposite direction.
Other than that, this has been a textbook update. Well done CCP techs! |

Ill say this ones more in there, as i already mentioned it else where.
I envy the fact CCP wants to take on the long whined about industrial part of the game, how ever i think the changes on this patch are badly balanced. If you want people to mine again you should take on the profession itself, and not cut down the few minerals that drop extra to compensate for the fact people aint mining.
You might actually be supriced that if you make mining more "fun" and more interesting to do that more people might actually do it and get those minerals in. Specially high-sec mining should be loads of fun now for the gankers in eve, and with the upcoming hulkageddon. I think i might actually join in the ganking fun this time, there should be loads of targets now cause your totally making mineral price + ship price go ********. Have you guys not been paying attention to most suggestions made by player/miners over the years in the suggestion section of the forum. I sure there are a lot of hint that could have told you these changes are not gonna work ....
So plz Fix mining, and give that small amount of T1 loot back to the mission runners, the builders actually buy that of the market to compensated there our lack of interest in mining. And while you are at it plz also make something drop from drones so its worth it for the once doing the salvage profession.
With that being said, what the hell did you do to the ship readout thingy, those lines OMG how ugly and not even aligned either, remove or restore plz !!!! And stop messing with the volume control and font size aswell.
Nice work on the on-time deployment tho, havnt seen that happen for a loooooooooooooong time. |

On the contrary, they're still missing some relatively common items...implants, to be exact, which include: Michi's Excavation Augmentor Akemon's Modified 'Noble' ZET5000 Genolution Core Augmentation CA-1 and CA-2 The first two are cosmos implants, the second two are gifts, both are still relatively common and really ought to have market categories. I'd love to hear from CCP why they left them out.
There is still fair amount missing from the market. There is fair amount of manual labor that needs to be done to add stuff on the market but in this case I wrote a simple script that took a module looked at if it was a variation of an existing module and if was we put it in the same market group as that one.
When adding stuff to the market we need to take care not to make it more cluttered. We probably need to take a step back and decide on more sane categorization of stuff on the market at some point. https://gate.eveonline.com/Profile/CCP%20Tuxford/StatusUpdates |

Above is false. Drones do not drop anything(Malpais). Bounties are not even 50% of regular rats.
drones: BS class - between 480-560K Cruiser class - 150K
Angels: BS class - between 1.5mil-700K
Is this going to be fixed?
Drones should have identical bounties to other rats. That said, if you're seeing BS below 500k, you're probably looking at deadspace (ie, exploration/anom) rats, which are typically ~50% of the value of asteroid belt ones. All belt BS should be 500k-1.85m

Pretty much this... how is it fair that drones now have the exact same isk price tags on them but don't drop anything or have the chance at rare spawn and loot? I can understand taking off the alloys but this makes it unequal in the other direction, they should have been brought in line totally before losing alloys.

The new icons are uselss and as well it takes to long to make use of them...i am far more faster to simple lock the targets from over view....
