Ups to Team Epic and everyone working on the new expansion! I've spent a couple on the partially working expansion on Sisi and I have a few questions. I'm not intentionally dissing what work has been done but alot of the effects etc we are seeing are basic texture shaders, when are we going to see the new particle system, motion blur, depth of field, overlaid effects when you're jammed etc that the Trinity engine is capable of?
For example what we see in this video @ 27:47?
Obviously the team has alot of work on their hands with the current expansion which we're all rubbing our hands in anticipation of; is this in the pipeline or are they planned for the WIS expansion or later?
Anyone got any ideas or know something I missed link me some infos!

As far as I know, that effect portrayed at Fanfest was a prerendered CG animation displaying something that may be possible in the future with proper particle scripts (CUDA), but something they can't do NOW. I spoke to Isis on #eve-chaos and he mentioned that they LIKE to do stuff like that, but it's simply not possible yet.
As for the other things you mentioned, I'm clueless. ----- Why doesn't anyone ever read the forums before posting?

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. I didn't know it was prerendered :) We have atleast got one dx9 effect (when jumping) :) Lets hope the warping graphics is a place holder.

AFAIK, that wasn't pre-rendered, but a program that they use to test models and effects directly.
