141. Pod Pilots - Immortal but only in their pods? - in EVE Fiction [original thread]
I figure if someone broke into the captains quarters when they knew a pilot was docking and blasted them in the head just as they stepped out of the pod it would be game over.

Ion Engines we pretty much understand, though In Scifi settings they appear to have much much much higher thrust than the ones in reality. Fusion drives are a viable actual theory, often called a "Fusion Torch". Caldari on the other hand are th...

in simple to understand car terms then. Hulk is like a Ferrari, it does one thing and does it really fast but has no trunk and shatters on impact with anything. Retriever is more like a mid sized sedan with a turbo. Has some trunk, still is prett...

146. Alts should be removed from the game alltogether. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]

148. Planetary Defense? - in EVE Fiction [original thread]
defense would be planetary class shielding if the tech exists. glassing a planet is a scary simple task in a scifi setting with nifty scifi weapons of big flashy boomyness.... considering in reality with 1960s/1970s nuclear weapons the US and Ru...

150. Modern Day ICBMs can go much further than missiles in EVE. Why? - in EVE Fiction [original thread]
well normal RL cruise are sub-sonic powered by small turbofans. which brings up a question, just what powers an EVE missile? I am thinking they are simply solid rocket fueled. once launched they go until it runs out or until it goes boom. Likely ...

157. How does my ship move? - in EVE Fiction [original thread]
technically all sublight is still done by rockets, they are fancy scifi engines but they are consuming a fuel and spitting the result out the back of the ship so they are still rockets. Event he impulse engines in Star Trek TNG are rockets.
