Why would it have to be gross or inhumane? Implants are after all not actualy in someones head, but attached to their capsule systems and then use an interface cable to actualy connect them.

Good points arthur! Hadnt thought about the math behind it. To balance them being freeley rechargable perhaps limit the number of "recharges" you can do. As in my previous post it wouldnt be charging them per se but physicaly moving charged cells ...

One way to look at it would be that any ships overall "capacitor" isnt going to be just one giant capacitor, but many smaller ones. A ship draws from each in sequence untill the last one is fully drained and you are cap dead. A cap booster when us...
