If you're running solo, then the Domi would probably be a better choice. If you're running with multiple client... well, I've found a combination of blaster/rail Hyp with a Raven/Golem tends to be faster, especially when salvaging the mission aft...

A mega is perfectly fine for missions, as long as you have decent gunnery and support skills. the tactics used by domi and mega pilots for missions is obviously different, but don't let anyone tell you that a mega is no good for pve :)

After awhile you should pick up on which mission features close range npc and which one has the longer range ones (though most tend to be a mix). What I used to do with my Mega, and still does with my Hyperion is to swap out between rail and blast...

Well, I have a mega loaded with rails for the missions that involves longer ranged fights. I use the hyperion primarily for missions that has mostly close range NPCs. large rails isn't gonna cut it when there's a bunch of cruisers orbiting at 15...
