Yup and currently have outdated nebulas. K-Space backgrounds have now been updated not only with higher resolution but to accurately represent what part of new eden your currently in - so it wouldn't make sense for them to be used in wormholes.

I'd say the other possibility you were in a Wolf Rayet and the visual effect wasn't taking the sig bonus into account but while that wouldn't have any effect on sleepers it also wouldn't show as bugged locking a POS.
