1. Washington State Capsuleers - in Out of Game Events and Gatherings [original thread]
By my count we have 106 character names combined between this thread and a quick snap shot of the in-game chat tonight. I'm collecting up all the names in a spreadsheet so that we have a central contact list for players in the region. I mostly pu...

2. Washington State Capsuleers - in Out of Game Events and Gatherings [original thread]
Live in Snoqualmie, Work in Seattle. Been in and out of the game for a few years now. Hopefully I can meet some locals that can help me stick around. It's all about the community, right?

Mercer Island here, but just bought a house in Snoqualmie that we are moving into in a little over a week. Also, to the last post I would also like to add: GO SOUNDERS!

4. Yapeal PHP API library - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
What do you think about the idea of adding foreign keys (for delete cascade) to each of the char* and corp* tables (and possibly the accountCharacters table)? It would sure make deleting characters, corps, and accounts a lot easier.

Thanks for the lesson on database structure. I always like learning new things, and its tough trying to figure everything out from scratch. Originally by: Dragonaire Some of the APIs also let you have access by just being a member of the ...

6. Yapeal PHP API library - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
I'm really loving this thing. It is very powerful and is making my site development a lot easier. Which is a must, considering that I am teaching myself PHP, SQL, and the EVE-API as I go. Also, about the code you are working on to auto-populate t...

7. Yapeal PHP API library - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
It took me a while to set this thing up. Like a few others here, I dont have command line access on my server. Now that I have it running, it is great. I am planning to create a Drupal plugin with features similar to Out of Eve, and this seems li...

8. Mysql QR - need database help - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
I was messing around with this just the other night. I didn't have command line access to my server, so I ended up uploading the database to the server and running bigdump. Problem was that bigdump maxed out, so I had to go into the bigdump code...

10. Question about out of pod movement - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Edited by: Goonda on 17/02/2009 23:34:07 The video linked above is a good intro, but I think this one answers the questions about your "appartment", which they are calling "captain's quarters". The general idea, if I remember right, is that...

12. Quadrangulation? - in Test Server Feedback [original thread]
Originally by: Hugh Ruka as was said, you need 3 reference points to calculate position in 2d space. however you are scanning in 3d in EVE. Incorrect. You only need two reference points to locate a point in 3D. The difference between ...

14. New Blog: New Fitting Screen in Apocrypha - in EVE Information Portal [original thread]
Forgot to mention it in my previous post, and I was maxed out for length. Didn't the "walk in hangar" function get dropped from "walking in stations" because the devs decided that it would use too many resources and not be used more than once per...

I know you guys put a lot of work into this, so this is painful to say. But I think you guys got a little lost on this project. I REALLY do not like this new fitting screen. I understand the desire to see the ship, especially with tech 3 ships c...

A note from a naval architect (boat designer): Standard of measurment for containers is the TEU (20 ft equilivant unit, about 39 m3 each). The largest existing container ships (the Emma Mµrsk class) can carry about 15,000 TEUs (585k m3), but is l...

17. CCP: Please Don't Make the Female Avatars Too Sexy - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I've always imagined this character being a little out of shape and having a bit of a belly. I get bored having the same V shaped torso with the crazy 6pack abs and all that on every male character in every game. Realism!
