      <description><![CDATA[so this was just a "hotfix" instead of a "full client upgrade". microsoft releases these kinds of things all the time and they are all optional too. they often call them "critical" but you can still choose to skip them.<br /><br />perhaps if CCP called it a "hotfix" then all the Windows users would better understand what it is, as they are used to similar kinds of patches coming from microsoft.<br /><br />i am guessing the next "normal EVE patch" will automatically include the fix in this optional patch?<br />  <br />Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.<br /><br />Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application.]]></description>

The code might have only been 10 lines long but if the file was 4 megs then the patch would have also been 4 megs.       <description><![CDATA[Why would there be an optional patch?<br /><br />Wouldn't this eventually make people who did/didn't update it have different mumbo jumbo on their clients?<br /><br />Wouldn't that be BAD?<br /><br />I believe a fix should, and needs, to be mandatory.<br /><br />Also, I still have reprocessing lag, so it didn't even get fixed.<br /><br />Yes I cleared cache. I still don't understand why a game would have "Optional patches." I can understand optional graphics since it's just an easy overlay, but game mechanics?<br /><br />wth?<br />]]></description>
