The bug tracker web interface only seems to accept files that end in .txt

Sadly such things are often overlooked by us linux users, as file extensions are more for convenience than identifying filetypes :)

The final nail in the coffin for me to try to be a co-operative customer was the email I received after replying to a mail from bugs@eve-online.com

"This recipient e-mail address was not found in the recipient e-mail system. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please check the recipient e-mail address and try resending this message, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator."

The original output of lshw that I supplied will have to suffice unless you can give me an alternative.

There were no problems on the eve -config tests as I would have expected.

Which is exactly how you patch the Linux client.

1. Download the patch.
2. Open the EVE Online configuration tool, click "Install Game Patch",
3. Locate the downloaded file and click continue.
4. Follow the installation instructions.
5. Bug report any issues you encounter
6. Ask questions here.

Of course, the first bug report I submitted on a crash was rejected because there 'wasn't enough information'. I included a backtrace and all, but apparently they wanted a statistical analysis of ships and locations. And a DXdiag file, even though I included the system/hardware information.

Yeah, I hadn't really thought about trying that again.

Hi. Sorry to hear that a bug report you worked hard on got trashed. Did you not get a reason for it being trashed? If not can you please give me the ID of the bug and I will let you know the reason for it.

When it comes to the bug report the OP made, it lacked information about his computer specs. Waiting for an update there. Graphical glitches and flickering is very common on systems that do not meet the minimum requirements.

And about the stability issues people encounter. We are working hard on addressing these, we currently have a build in testing that we hope will greatly improve the stability of the client and hopefully eliminate most crash issues.

Please note that, unless you install multiple clients and rename one of them, your current game client will not be able to connect to Tranquility. To get back to Tranquility you need to reinstall the game.
