Thanks to Imperator Jora'h for updating my post with the names and links. I normally don't think to much of one person "fixing" another persons's posts (if they've something to say they should just say it them selves instead of twisting someone else's words) but I'll make an exception here.

Yes - I thought about Jessica Alba later. I was into Buffy when Dark Angel was on and didn't want to get obsessed with two shows at the same time but when I did try to watch it later ... I didn't like the show. Same thing with Kristanna Loken's Pain Killer Jane. But I've seen Jessica in a number of other things and she is hot.

And yeah ... I knew there was some old British shows that had some hot chicks on them but couldn't remember the names. Blakes 7 was one of them. The others ... if there actually were others ... are still nothing but the vague whisp of memory that Blake's 7 was. For a show with such really cheap, cheesy effects ... it wasn't that bad.

Many, many years ago there was an epic sci-fi show called Blake's 7. And in this show there was a character called Soolin. The actess who played Soolin was Glynis Barber, who played a character that is probably inspiration to all the other ones referenced in this thread so far. Bow down to the original sci-fi babe (not the best pics, but then again what can you expect from screen grabs of a series that ran in the 70's and early 80's?).

There are no official translations as far as I know, so if you bought them in book form, they'd be in moonspeak, limiting their usefulness .

I find it odd, considering the wild popularity of Haruhi. Maybe they think their audience is made up of otakus so hopeless that they'd never read a book?

Yeah, its kind of silly discussing things like this with total strangers as often these threads just ends up being a list of vaguely attractive women who play sci-fi characters.

Personally I find the characters much more attractive than the actors, for instance I think Jewel Staite's character on Firefly is much more attractive than her Atlantis char. Guess I'm just old fashioned and look at more than the body...

As for Megan Fox there is no doubt she is gorgeous but honestly I would opt for Claudia Black. There is some similarity in their looks and Megan is younger and has the better body but I would still dive for Claudia in a heartbeat. The accent and that indefinable something (aka I will **** you like you've never been ****** before) makes her tops.

Grace Park is pretty freaking spectacular too.
