Joking aside, you must remember that all the commentators are volunteers. Players with a difference in opinions about the different teams in the tournament. So they joke you around with the damps + missiles + stabs whatever. Partially it's because it's funny, partially it's because you yourself smack everyone as much as possible at every possible occation, and ofcourse you're gonna get something back.

If this was a professional sports tournament, where the commentators would be paid, you could expect and require them to be absolutely neutral and unbiased. Here, it's just not gonna work that way.

So suck it up, and enjoy the tournament. If you don't wanna hear the commentators commentating, mute the damn thing.

No that's not smacking, just a very ignorant and stupid comment to make. And the comment in question is saying "Do something different, it's the same thing over and over"

I don't know if you are aware, but it's a tournament, not a suicide/comedy gang. TI/BoB/whatever do what is best and there is zero reason for them to do otherwise. It's like saying, "Oh man Shaq, all this dunking and scoring you are doing is lame, do something different like shooting some three-pointers for god's sake"

TI above everyone else were the ones saying how these rules were lame. If you want to claim boring television, you need to blame yourself (oh noes!!!!) and CCP for the rules. God forbid you do something exciting like make a highlights video with cool music in the background like players do with PvP videos.

funny thing , i thought tv was there to cover the tourney and not the pilots being there to entertain the tv, i myself am getting a bit tired of hearing the commentators talk about how a ship should selfdestruct so they dont have to sit there and commentate for 5 minutes.

The vast majority of the audience have no real vested interest in the battles going on.

It might be really exciting for the pilot in the fight to zoom around for 5 minutes. For everyone else it is watching paint dry. The commentators say it like it is.

Perhaps next time, they can interview the pilots in battle, we could feel some of the excitment as he creeps to the wreck, while keeping the last frigate alive so he can loot those mega pulses.

The only "smack" (and it wasn't really) of BE that I heard was Angel saying, before the fight, something about how she likes Agony and what they stand for, that she has a history with Burn Eden, and then that BE are good pvp pilots but maybe "need to work on their social skills". That was about it.

As for the commentators smacking you, their objective is obviously to see lots of funky explosions for entertainment value, wouldn't put too much stock in it.

I find bobs setup just as boring, and im really looking forward to both teams changing their setups for the knockout rounds.

P.S. BE manage the caracal heavy setup better than any other team, and it really shows. But there is just so much of the tactics hidden for the viewer, all we see are missiles shooting from left to right and less missiles going from right to left indicating their dampening works.
