The "203: Authentication Failure" comes from the API server and it means that your API key is incorrect.

How your phone connects to the internet has got nothing to do with EMSP.

I don't have a Nokia, I have a SE 990i, and I can sort the connection order of how I would like to access the web. I have a local WLAN as the first option, then it uses 3G if the WLAN is not available.

I would assume that the N95 has similar setup options.

I have a nokia n95 8gb. And I have it set up so that my web asks me which AP (including 3g data if i want) i'd like to connect to. And I usually use wifi (since i'm on a 2mb data plan).

From what I can see it's a SymbianOS TCP/IP V6 error code "No route to host".
Are you updating your account(s) or the individual characters ?

the trained skillstree is working fine in my eyes, and looks great. (even took my skill at lvl 0)

when using the "widescreen" like when you see movies with the phone, the meny is off center.

The data is stored using J2ME's RecordStore API, the how and where part depend on the implementation. I don't personally know of a program that can edit them.

I was thinking of making some kind of import/export for account settings (as can be seen in the account menu) but I haven't found the time to do it yet.

The "Back" key is device specific. I have it hardcoded into the code for my phone and if I knew the key code for the BB (and how to 100% identify a BB) then I would add the appropriate code too.

As it stands, others have suggested setting the back key in EMSP's options to "Delete" (if my memory serves me right, or was the "Escape" key ?).

Correct. It wont.

But if you use the trackball you can scroll left and right to go back and forward through the menu (for most parts that is).

Also, tried 3.4.4 upgrade and the BB said it was going to keep the data but I had to reenter the userapi/key. Thank goodness you can paste the API key from an email!

Also, if you only enter a Limited API key and dont add the Full API key it will produce an Java error when you load the data... It still works fine, just an FYI....

If this is correct, would it be possible for me to perhaps build a modified version to use a fixed resolution instead of reading the screen size through J2ME?

Instead of the nifty welcome screen, I'm presented with a grayed out EVE logo and the picture of Jaabaa, with a message in red at the bottom that cuts off, which says something about loading your characters. I'm unsure as to if this is a program limitation, or a discrepancy with the phone's hardware. Any ideas on how I can get this working?

Almost forgot to mention, button presses have no effect, and I'm not given any options along the lines of menus or data entry fields. All I get is the screen mentioned above.

I've downloaded and installed using the OTA installation on my BB Storm.
I've entered my API details and set up my preference sin Options.

When I select Import, nothing happens - no messages, no network traffic, nothing.

My only worry is that the Storm may not support MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1 (and I've no way of checking).

Any ideas why this doesn't work? Thanks.

Ok so I was in the wrong place trying to import the details. Now getting authentication error so i'm off to check th details I entered Embarassed

Hi everyone. I'm just returning to the game and wanted to put this on my Blackberry. I did an OTA install fine, but when I tried to Load my character info I got the error that said:

unexpected result java tunnel failed

Wow best prog ive ever downloaded to my blackberry. I recently bought the new bb 9530 Storm with the touch screen and have been looking for programs for it. I downloaded this from the phone and like magic it worked like a charm. the program responds to the touch screen and kinda on the back button. I only got one error and that was something about a null pointer when i added in my info. Which i believe happens with blackberrys as it happened to one of my corp members on his 8330 Curve but over all it worked. Thank Jaabaa we love u man.

Just wanted to throw some data out there, might help. No icon loading after install. BB 8830, 4.2.2.196 is latest OS. Tried installing OTA with .jad, didn't work. Downloaded the .alx and .cod and installed it through app manager. All of these are after fresh installs, i.e. Removing previous versions before installing next. Still no icons. Any ideas? The pre-QR version worked just fine. Maybe copy paste some of the old code for installing?

Hi,

That happenned to me. Hard Reset your devcie after you load it, then Hard Reset it again and the icon will appear.

I dont know whay it just did.


NB: Hard Reset = Leave the device on and pull the battery out, wait 5 sec and insert the battery again. This will NOT erase any settings, just forces the device to relaod the OS fresh.)

Maybe you should just delete the application, try a fresh install and bite the bullet because you will have to re-enter your account details.

Thanks for the help Kurann, although like Marcus I receive the same message indicating the app is already updated, but with no icon.

I did have the icon and app was working in previous version like Woho.

now one thing to note, I had to set it to allow all HTTP connections or it would crash

Also, when it is retreiving the character info, I get an error - UNABLE to Handle Rowset, but by pressing the BACK button it keeps going.

Same problem here using a Pearl 8130 and OS 4.5.

Slight update: I can get 3.2.1 to run (pulled it down from a previous post). However 3.4 will not show an icon when installed on either my 8130 (4.5) or my 8330 (4.3).

So I can't understand why you are getting size = 0.

What BB are you using and what version of their OS (it might help the BB users to help you) ?

If you want, you could try the BB local install file emsp-local-bb-install.zip, it should help if you are having problems with the OTA installation.

Sorry about that, for some reason the BB conversion didn't populate the JAD file with the BB specific information.

I've just uploaded a new jad file that now contains the BB information.

I'll change it so that it only closes if it can create an account or if cancel is pressed.
