I think the answer to your question is that a large part of Eve involves social engineering. Scamming is a part of Eve, and has been approved by the devs as legitimate from day one.

I agree with you that this kind of gameplay is not suitable for everyone. That is part of what makes Eve still a niche game-- many people do not like various elements of Eve, because it was designed to appeal to a very particular crowd.

I am not surprised that there are long time players who are unable to cope with this. However, there are other ways to vent at someone.

CCP can only ban someone who vents in this way through their system. If it had been over TS or Vent, or over some other third party system, I don't think the GM could have responded even if it had been petitioned, because they can only act on what happens in their system. This is abundantly clear when so many petitions are responded to with a "no records in our system" message.

There are other avenues to vent frustration. I have played in Eve since the beta on various accounts and have almost never witnessed anything that invoked rl threats made in-game, either explicit or implied. Frankly, those who are so easily manipulated are going to be at a disadvantage in Eve, banning like this is only the most extreme example.

And yes, there ARE other games where this sort of thing happens. I did live action role playing for about ten years, and most of it involved intrigue/spying/betrayal, and out and out trying to find some way of killing someone else's character without actually doing it yourself. And I personally engineered the deaths of many characters that had been active for a couple years during that ime period. I don't do that in Eve, because frankly I got tired of it.

But that is precisely the level that some people in Eve play at, and that is fine. It is well known to people who know of them that both Miz and GM play at that level, and now we know definitively which one is better.

Though I could have seen that just from comparing any two posts each made over the years.

I know-- none of this will convince you that Miz and other scammers and baiters should not be banned. But you have to accept the rules of the shared sandbox, which have been thoroughly explored over the past four years. This policy has been demonstrated in the past, and precedent has been clear that each player is held to be responsible for his or her own behavior in game. Each of us makes a choice about how to respond to any other player, and some of us may not choose as wisely as others. The line is typically very well respected in-game, even though there might be pitched verbal battles using other media.

Look at what happened with Aegis Militia when they got scammed for 30 bill ISK (according to the articles etc) by GHSC when that kind of ISK really meant something. I don't recall one rl threat made against the responsible parties. Lots of repercussions against characters, but none against the players. Because everyone knows the game they play, and that it is a game.

Suprised by all the hate in this thread. I mean what happened to the old eve community that i can remember from release.

Seriously tho what did the guy do ? He had the forum *****s put him in a situation that was gonna break his temper. These guys knew what ginger was like. Hell they were in his corp for several months.

I also spent some time time on camps with ginger and know he can be an ass and yes he likes his smacktalk and has a temper. But thats just Ginger. These guys knew that also and put him in a situation that would bring the worst out in him. What he said in local cant be justified but i know and i'm sure the rest of you do, alot worse things have been said in chats and mails.

The whole thing stinks to high heaven imo and it's more like a witch hunt. I may be in the minority here but i for one am saddened by this whole event.

As for the guy that said Tiller would take over from Ginger....

I've read his replies to you, and tbh, you've been far more unfair and condescendant to him than he was to you.

I'm not saying ur low, i'm saying this was a low move from Klepto and Miz, they knew how ginger would respond.

At last CCP have made a correct decision.

The number of petitions that Ginger generated must have kept a member of the CCP team in full time employment. If he lost a ship he petitioned it and got a new one, This happened a awful lot. He was always bragging about his connections at CCP, I have seen him use numerous exploits and know of many others that have petitioned about him.

He was not a good pirate he was a cheat and got pleasure in threatening people in RL. Im just glad that he has been seen doing what we have all had to tolerate for months now.

Hopefully with the new patch and Ginger gone. EVE can get its act back to track.

You can say a lot of **** in eve and get away with it. And thats all good, really. As it stays character to character.

The moment you make reference to real life and that you are going to find them there - it crosses a big fat line. Its not up to anyone to judge whether that infringes on other peoples sense of personal security - you just don't do it.

It doesn't matter if someone has seen worse or not - if they had, they should have reported it. There is no room for that kind in a game.

One incident like this should result in a significant ban - and it seems like Ginger had been saving up as it was.

I'll personally miss ginger if he's gone for good... you may not like him, but he still added some flavour to the game (not everyone has the same tastes).

He didn't really do anything different then other players who gank (lol if he really keeps all camp profits), except his ego and amusing posts.. but it seems tiller has taken over there...

I understand that a game like EVE is not just a simple game ... it's often totally emotional and IS a part of your reallife when you involved in it like Ginger. Each ISK you lose or earn is rl time. A loss feels like a loss and not like reloading a save-spot on a console game.

But due the fact that he is specialized on gate camping stealing billions of ISK from other player daily - what he's all the time posing with - he should have learned the rules. But he's blinded by his own rules. Miz did nothing different what he does daily to other players. And at this point it's typical that those people can't deal with it.

To shout in local +I will kill you in rl! is for a player from early EVE damn stupid because he must know that all that convo will be logged by CCP. So what does he expect?

Wow lol just saw this thread and I was like WTF!. Bit rough on Ginger tbh im sure other ppl have said far worse and enver been banned, Ive recevied worse threats than this but I take it as a laught tbh. But with a GM in the system it was a farily stupid thing to say

tbh i have heard from so many ex snowy members in convo about how bad GM treated his corpmates and others and everyone has been witness to his annoying ego on eve-o but if that's all he said then i think a perma ban is a bit harsh. temp ban for sure but that's a little extreme. however examples have to be made and this will shine as a very good one.

i don't feel much sorry for him on account of how he treats others but a temp ban of a month or 2 might well have sufficed. unless it got worse than that.

Yeah, that could be argued in court - part of the "Assault" part is that the threat has to be imminent, and the victim has to believe that the threat could be carried out - but the courts have been very liberal indeed in recent years with interpreting verbal threats as "Assault". So we're looking at a potential felony here. Which carries a statutory sentence of up to 6 months in prison and/or a 5000 pound fine, in the UK.

This is no small matter. CCP did the only thing they could do: Permaban the player. Bringing criminal suit is not something CCP can do, but is an option for the threatened player.

Tackling this another way: EvE is a game. Keep threats in game. The moment it spills out into RL, it gets way too intense, and frankly frightening. That kind of fanaticism is not something that should be treated lightly.

As it stands Ginger is still banned and is unable to petition because he cannot access any aspect of the eve web site cause his account is banned.He has replied to the ban email sent to his email address but has not received any response so far.
If anyone has any further suggestions that would be appreciated.The chat logs of this incident have been saved and ofc it is wrong to ask for special favours for any character but I dont think many other characters in Eve would generate a 9 page and counting thread about one incident.
I feel that more then one GM needs to look at this in any event.

but I have to ask this.. Why perma ban characters but not the account holder?
If someone had an account for example lets say with a builders merchant and they didn't pay up or stole from that merchant and the account was suspended or deleted do you really think that the same person would be able to open another and still use the same merchants?

GMs don't act on what you tell them, they act on facts. In this case, they will have read all the chat logs in the case and ruled based on that, NOT based on what Miz said. I do know that some GMs DON'T do their job properly and we could indeed see Ginger Magician back in game having evaded a second permanant ban.

Essentially, I'm wondering if being banned for repeated verbal abuse in-game means that he personally isn't allowed to play eve any more. I've filed a petition to ask GMs what the answer is but don't expect a timely response.

Never in a million years has it crossed my mind to try and get somone who lets face it is in a state most of us have all been in once or twice banned.

Smack talk threats and verbal abuse ect are present in most online games while I dont indulge or condone it some smack I have seen in local channels is quite amusing.
Bottom line is, what happens in game happens you scamed him, he threatened you big deal. Dont go crying to f**king GMs about it.

There are people that are "different" that add flavor to the game, just by their little quirks they make the game more fun.

Ginger was never one of those people.

By all accounts he was just an immature, bratty attention seeking gump that did everything he could to provoke people into doing something stupid so he could petition them.

Every account I have read on the forums, and seen in local over the last couple of years show me that Eve is better off without him.

You seem to be getting soooooo anxious over this and i have no clue why.

Possibly what you fail to see is that people being respectful to pvp'ers who have been around since the beginning of this game is not ass kissing. Insulting myself and many others now on several occasions is however pretty low.

Now as regards to the issue it really has no relavance what you think of scamming. i personally don't really like or agree with it but it does not break any rules, nothing miz did broke rules. What GM did broke the rules in a big way. It really is that simple.

I hope that such obviously psychopathic players will be forced to leave Eve sooner or later. This type of player absolutely NOT improve Eve or make it a more interesting world, in no way.

Also I really hope that senior GMs will look upon this case and in general petitions by this Miz guy. It seems to me that he likes to abuse the petition system for his own purposes.

Well where to begin...
We started the day enjoying a camp with our mothership pilot Miz Cenuij in Otou and all was well in the world.A few kills a few bits of loot.After another few camps and the usual Snowy pawnage it came to around 6pm and most guys had gone afk for the pub or food or whatever.My dear corpmate Miz says to Ginger that now is the time to transfer the Nyx after agreeing a price of 26bill ealier in the week.

Now Miz is an extremely well known scammer and during his 3 months or so in the corp he was involved in at least 3 fake mothership sales netting him around 25-30bill.He claimed that he was tired of the Nyx and willing to sell it to Ginger in order to get himself a titan.
After much haggling he agreed to an 8.5bill 1/3 payment where he would then eject Ginger would pay him another 11.5bill to make 20 and the rest over the next 2 weeks when funds allowed.Well this was all agreed and Miz proceeded to gang Ginger and he warped to the safe spot where the Nyx was located.8.5bill was transferred to Miz's account and then Miz proceeded to activate his 4 officer smartbombs and ofc Ginger was pod killed and Octobersnow 8.5bill out of pocket which even for us is a big loss.

Tbh we had half expected it and it was worth the risk to have the opportunity of obtaining a Nyx for Ginger.
Subsequent to this Ginger proceeded to hunt Miz with his Moros and other corp members cynoing in to 2 different systems whereupon miz would immediately cyno out.Eventually he was tracked to sieside and actually it was found out that he had logged out on HORZA PHLEBAS his alt who he uses for all the scams on nyx sales and this character was now piloting the Nyx with Miz in a curse.

Well this was unexpected and Miz was now traced to the hq station in sieside of Kleptomaniacs who at first showed no hostility to me and in convo with their ceo he denied having any affliation with Miz.Tiller u were always a bad liar.
After at first holding fire on a snowy cyno alt in an npc corp small ships from Klepto proceeded to destroy the alts probe after Ginger had cynoed in outside their hq.

At this point the full scale of the conspiracy became evident and Ginger began engaging Klepto members outside the station with his moros in siege mode.During this combat Miz hid inside the station(get used to it kelpto members).
One Klepto drake was destroyed and others ran off.
Ofc at this point there was some smack talk in local and not surprisingly Ginger was somewhat angry first of all at his own stupidity for trusting Miz and second of all for the betrayal of Klepto and their ceo.

Miz being well aware because of his time in Snowy just what a dastardly enemy Ginger would prove to be immediately petitioned Ginger at the first wrong sentence he unfortunately uttered in the heat of battle.
Ginger was just undocking for another go at the Klepto blob when the dread info box popped up concerning forced game disconnection and he knew his fate at once.
Upon checking mail the worse fears were confirmed with a message of perma banning.

Here ends the story of the day for now.Eve's most famous player banned because of a little scamming coward who doesnt have a 1/10 of his pvp skills or balls.

Enjoy your time with Miz klepto members and lets just hope he treats u as well as he treated GM...

Feels like a permaban is harsh, but I'm glad it is. Though I have a bad feeling local chats will turn much more boring with strange randomness comming more seldom and people banning / petitioning eachother left to right.

AFAIK the lead GM was in local watching events unfold.... he was there sorting out ginger for adding roles back to stop miz leaving corp.

Is that frakin' right! I think people need to put their unbridled jealousy of Ginger aside and instead look at the facts of this particular case. Everyone knows that the Kleptos have a serious axe to grind with him. Mercy needs to be practicied here for an individual who has put four years of hardwork into the building of a character. Is it right to revel in his situation simply because so many of us have lost ships to him? Losing ships is part of the game. Ginger never scammed anyone as far as I know. Miz is the biggest scammer in the entire game. Should that be a part of gaming dynamics? There needs to be some fairplay here shown by CCP. If anyone should be punished, it should be the dishonorable scammers that make Eve more like the Eastend than anything else!

Miz plays the game the way he wants it, no arguements there and nothing personal, but, what happened in that local chat, taunting ginger and so on, led to the situation, that is why i say i would ban them BOTH!
Not just MIZ and not just GINGER but BOTH!, and on diferent levels, Miz would get a temporary ban to serve as a warning not only to him but to others.

You see, most people like you and others that think on that line dismiss this as being only a game, correct, but forget that THERE IS ACTUAL REAL PEOPLE BEHIND THE CHARS!, and some get frustraded and angry, or happy and have their sense of fulfilling experienced on diferent levels.

Why does this matter, it matters in a game were you spend more than 1 hour or so playing and aquiring ISK or Items for achieving in game goals.
The loss of a given item/ISK can generate diferente feelings in diferent persons, i mostly get a tad anoyed then its back to the begining, you might get angry or dismiss it, and again back to the begining, others might get a bit angrier or whatever.

The point in here is that like in real life no one likes to be scamed, played as a jackass and worst humiliated in front of a crowd, and that leads us to Miz and Gingers situation.
Miz "knew" Ginger, and knew how he would respond to this action, he added insult to injury after, reaping off 8Bil and poding ginger, then he proceeds to taunt Ginger in front of an audience ( locals of whatever system they were in ).

Any normal person push to the edge will respond in a similar faction than ginger, only problem here is that the people that provoked this weren't held acountable for their actions and worst they gloat and have a crowd of monkeys aplauding a very sad situation.

I disagree to one point. A MMORPG like EVE is NOT a game anymore when you spend max. of your rl time for it.
From that fact CCP also have to understand that +beeing addicted to a game like that is affecting the person behind a character like Ginger in a special way. Also emotional.

We have to discuss the dark side of that kind of games very serious. The most people in EVE who are ruling bigger stuff or are very sucessful need to be in that game as much as possible. At a special border it's not a hobby anymore. It's some kind of addiction to it.

I am for myself can't just log when I lost 200 Million due a kill and go back to normal reallife. All those ISK had need rl time to earn them. So it takes a while to calm down and accept: just a game. Hard sometimes.

But someone behind Ginger who lives in that game for a long time now can't really see it as a pure game anymore.
That's probably the reason for his extreme emotional behaviour which forces CCP of course to ban them due EULA.

But if CCP also understand the fact that MMORPG's can force a special kind of addiction and that it's not really normal at the end that people spend 12 hours or more a day rl time for EVE ... CCP must rethink their rules. It's not that simple to say: it's just a game.

Ginger actually trusted Miz, lol. I always wondered why Miz stuck around in that corp when it was known what the ISK all was going to, and the fact he knew miz kept scamming people with Nyx sales, and thought Miz would actually sell to HIM?

Not to dig at Miz, but the guy isn't giving up his 0 risk lowsec gravy train. Maybe he will if he actually gets a titan, but the piracy carebearism of gatecamping in a titan with smartbombs is above and beyond explanation. Atleast with the Ms, you can always pop out those two dozen fighters and wtfpwn a small fleet solo.

Its just bravado, the ones more likely to actually do such a thing are highly unlikely to tell you in game anyway, you would find out when they turn up on your doorstep.

what miz did was allowed inside the game mechanics, what ginger did was to threaten to "find" miz irl.

(btw, i don't claim to know that i wouldn't do the same thing in the same situation, partly because i don't think of myself so stupid as to trust one of the best known scammers in the game with 8b and my pod)

You canot hold a player responsible for the overeactions of another.
Down that path lies WOW.
No-one would do anything to agravate another player (even pvp) for fear of the other player going balistic and mass bannings resulting.

Its like, again, proking someone to fight, taunting and humiliating the person, knowing that he will react badly to the situation , and then saying he's bad for loosing his temper and smacking you in the face and you're innocent and victims.

I play this as a game mate, when i lose a ship/pod/isk I take it as just that.
Fairplay if someone scams me, I'll be the first to conratulate them.
It wont happen though, because I have a clue.
I've scamed other people for more ISK than I took from Ginger and they have taken it well, sure they were a bit gutted, but they laughed about it afterwards.
There you have it from people like that to someone like Ginger who is comfortable threatening people in RL. The whole spread of humanity, all right here in this glorious world EVE.

I flew with Ginger for months when I was starting out.
I was never in Snowy but it was good experience and the pilots I flew alongside taught me some of what I know now.

A perma ban would in my opinion be too much in this instance. I've seen worse said in local and received worse after killing someone.... I hope I see lots more :)

Perma ban? That is idiotic.

Well, Ginger is a bad guy no doubt. But others are much worse and still happily annoy everyone and their cat.

I would like to suggest that he asks his banning lifted and 2-3 months or so. Maybe the powers that are will have mercy upon him.

I am not sure who made the ban, but he can ask always a senior GM about it and if this measure was appropriate for that situation.

This whole story is sad, both ways.

Have to agree with this. As much as everyone hates ginger ' the character ' i think in the circumstances most of us would be a little bit ****ed off Permanent ban seems a little bit harsh. A warning yeah should be sufficient.

How many hatemails have alot of us had after popping people in low sec, saying how they are gonna do this and that to you and your dog blah blah blah. The majority of them are never reported its just ignored. I dont see why this should be any different.

Just to be clear Ginger is not a bad ceo who steals isk from his corpmates.If that were the case there must be 25 really stupid people in his corp.The corp policy is clearly laid out to all members before they join.All ship losses which are not the result of stupidity on the corp members part are replaced less the standard insurance which u put in the corp wallet.On top of this and while not specifically stated members receive a lot of help with fittings and modules often way beyond what they could afford out of their own wallets.
If people didnt like and enjoy being in snowy no one is holding a gun to their heads and forcing them to stay.Several of our members in fact joined Klepto but returned to Snowy when they discoverd just how disorganised and poorly led the corp was and the vast numbers camping the gates meant that their share of the loot amounted to diddly squat.
Once again all that Ginger said in local during the combat was that he would find Miz in real life.Nothing else nothing more.If this deserves a perma ban then I should imagine that any player of 3yrs or more with a few warnings on his account may as well quit now and get it over with cause they wont be many left very soon...

Okay, so yes I pulled off a long term confidence scam... again.

It was me guvna, I did it, but lets be honest everyone and thier mother knows what im about, so WHO in thier right mind would send me 8.5 billion ISK? Ginger Magician, thats who.

So some background...

Early on within my time in Snowy it became apparent that Ginger was a greedy self centred CEO. ALL loot was to go to corp (aka Ginger's Nyx fund). He does replace some ship losses (not mods), but wont replace T2 ship losses.
This from a corp that makes a fair amount of ISK gate camping. This was the reason Tiller etc all left and formed Klepto early on in my time with Snowy.
So while the rest of the corp had close to ZERO isk in thier wallets, Ginger inflated his wallet to approx 25 bill.
Not so annoying for me, as Ginger has already stated, I run numerous scams, collecting close to 30b in the last 2 months alone, but an appalling situation for the other corp members to be in.

So between this and Ginger simply annoying the hell out of me with his idiotic PvP tactics and the way he yells, berates and is damn rude and abusive to his corp members, my anger steadily grew, but there was always the end goal and I never lost sight of that.

Last week he lost a Moros because he had failed to have a cyno alt logged on, so off he went to buy another (corp paid for it). Whilst he was buying his new Moros, i scammed some guy from **** corp for 12 billion. 2 hours later Ginger got jumped and ost his his shiny new Moros, again because he didnt have a cyno alt running. Now because the guy I scammed was in local (but not in the attack) Ginger decided i should donate the isk gained from the scam to corp (his Nyx fund). He refused to see that it was his fault for having failed to use a cyno alt to escape for the second time in a single night. Whether the guy was involved or not, i was not going to be giving him ISK for lacking any common sense or PvP skills.

This was the last straw, I moved up the timescale of the scam and the rest as they say is history.

One thing i will say for Klepto, I have never had 20 plus pilots undock and fight on my behalf (they did this even before i was in corp (Ginger had pulled the old assign roles so he cant leave corp exploit). Its great to finally be in a corp with people like that in it after two months in Snowy. NB: Ginger killed 1 drake in this fight but had to dock several times because they were owning him in non capital ships HARD, we have fraps.

BTW Crom'ar Lev is Gingers alt and a simple IP check would confirm this. You might also be interested to see that he logs onto other corp members accounts as and when he pleases, taking from them what he needs.

I dont care if it is alts writing in sympathy for Ginger or not. I have only once seen him in a gatecamp, and luckily got out in time... But unless there was really treats like "Im gonna kill you" involved, I think the GMs should look at the bigger scale. If I had saved up so much bil and lost em, I would prob just leave the game, and the fact that Ginger got angry is no big surprise... Some people can loose their temper, others can control it. I would say in cases with so huge losses, the GMs should look at it in a wider perspective.

People have moaned about scamming but the oldest scam in the book is the corp ceo scam. Scammers scamming each other do you really care that much?

Word "reality" has different meanings - for some people virtual reality is extremely important. Well where to begin...
We started the day enjoying a camp with our mothership pilot Miz Cenuij in Otou and all was well in the world.A few kills a few bits of loot.After another few camps and the usual Snowy pawnage it came to around 6pm and most guys had gone afk for the pub or food or whatever.My dear corpmate Miz says to Ginger that now is the time to transfer the Nyx after agreeing a price of 26bill ealier in the week.

Now Miz is an extremely well known scammer and during his 3 months or so in the corp he was involved in at least 3 fake mothership sales netting him around 25-30bill.He claimed that he was tired of the Nyx and willing to sell it to Ginger in order to get himself a titan.
After much haggling he agreed to an 8.5bill 1/3 payment where he would then eject Ginger would pay him another 11.5bill to make 20 and the rest over the next 2 weeks when funds allowed.Well this was all agreed and Miz proceeded to gang Ginger and he warped to the safe spot where the Nyx was located.8.5bill was transferred to Miz's account and then Miz proceeded to activate his 4 officer smartbombs and ofc Ginger was pod killed and Octobersnow 8.5bill out of pocket which even for us is a big loss.

Tbh we had half expected it and it was worth the risk to have the opportunity of obtaining a Nyx for Ginger.
Subsequent to this Ginger proceeded to hunt Miz with his Moros and other corp members cynoing in to 2 different systems whereupon miz would immediately cyno out.Eventually he was tracked to sieside and actually it was found out that he had logged out on HORZA PHLEBAS his alt who he uses for all the scams on nyx sales and this character was now piloting the Nyx with Miz in a curse.

Well this was unexpected and Miz was now traced to the hq station in sieside of Kleptomaniacs who at first showed no hostility to me and in convo with their ceo he denied having any affliation with Miz.Tiller u were always a bad liar.
After at first holding fire on a snowy cyno alt in an npc corp small ships from Klepto proceeded to destroy the alts probe after Ginger had cynoed in outside their hq.

At this point the full scale of the conspiracy became evident and Ginger began engaging Klepto members outside the station with his moros in siege mode.During this combat Miz hid inside the station(get used to it kelpto members).
One Klepto drake was destroyed and others ran off.
Ofc at this point there was some smack talk in local and not surprisingly Ginger was somewhat angry first of all at his own stupidity for trusting Miz and second of all for the betrayal of Klepto and their ceo.

Miz being well aware because of his time in Snowy just what a dastardly enemy Ginger would prove to be immediately petitioned Ginger at the first wrong sentence he unfortunately uttered in the heat of battle.
Ginger was just undocking for another go at the Klepto blob when the dread info box popped up concerning forced game disconnection and he knew his fate at once.
Upon checking mail the worse fears were confirmed with a message of perma banning.

Here ends the story of the day for now.Eve's most famous player banned because of a little scamming coward who doesnt have a 1/10 of his pvp skills or balls.

Enjoy your time with Miz klepto members and lets just hope he treats u as well as he treated GM...

I may be **** at PvP but I know what my ships are capable of and what they aren't. I'm getting better at PvP in every engagement because I know the limitations of my ship. From my experience of Ginger, that would be what I call his major failing and it accounts for his record-breaking losses in PvP. If it weren't for slave-driving his corpmates at those gates, he would have run out of isk a long time ago.

Best he's got on me was a Hyperion before the war and a Lachesis during it. It's not really a war, though, since they can't even enter highsec. Crom'ar is the only one who can enter highsec and this war allowed me to blow up his freighter in a Lachesis. The first instance would not be a good reason to perma-ban someone. Give him a month or two to cool off though and think the situation over. Apparently he didn't think hard enough the first time.

If a stranger comes up to you in the pub and tells you he is gonna murder you and the police hear him, would u not expect them to do something? There has been many incidents where people have killed other people over computer games and it should not be accepted.

so ginger knew miz was a scammer and still handed over 8.5bil? then said something which got hima perma ban?

i'm rather curios to hear what he could possibly have said to be that bad.

Well where to begin...
We started the day enjoying a camp with our mothership pilot Miz Cenuij in Otou and all was well in the world.A few kills a few bits of loot.After another a few camps and the usual Snowy pawnage it came to around 6pm and most guys had gone afk for the pub or food or whatever.My dear corpmate Miz says to Ginger that now is the time to transfer the Nyx after agreeing a price of 26bill ealier in the week.

Now Miz is an extremely well known scammer and during his 3 months or so in the corp he was involved in at least 3 fake mothership sales netting him around 25-30bill.He claimed that he was tired of the Nyx and willing to sell it to Ginger in order to get himself a titan.
After much haggling he agreed to an 8.5bill 1/3 payment where he would then eject Ginger would pay him another 11.5bill to make 20 and the rest over the next 2 weeks when funds allowed.Well this was all agreed and Miz proceeded to gang Ginger and he warped to the safe spot where the Nyx was located.8.5bill was transferred to Miz's account and then Miz proceeded to activate his 4 officer smartbombs and ofc Ginger was pod killed and Octobersnow 8.5bill out of pocket which even for us is a big loss.

Tbh we had half expected it and it was worth the risk to have the opportunity of obtaining a Nyx for Ginger.
Subsequent to this Ginger proceeded to hunt Miz with his Moros and other corp members cynoing in to 2 different systems whereupon miz would immediately cyno out.Eventually he was tracked to sieside and actually it was found out that he had logged out on HORZA PHLEBAS his alt who he uses for all the scams on nyx sales and this character was now piloting the Nyx with Miz in a curse.

Well this was unexpected and Miz was now traced to the hq station in sieside of Kleptomaniacs who at first showed no hostility to me and in convo with their ceo he denied having any affliation with Miz.Tiller u were always a bad liar.
After at first holding fire on a snowy cyno alt in an npc corp small ships from Klepto proceeded to destroy the alts probe after I had cynoed in outside their hq.

At this point the full scale of the conspiracy became evident and Ginger began engaging Klepto members outside the station with his moros in siege mode.During this combat Miz hid inside the station(get used to it kelpto members).
One Klepto drake was destroyed and others ran off.
Ofc at this point there was some smack talk in local and not surprisingly Ginger was somewhat angry first of all at his own stupidity for trusting Miz and second of all for the betrayal of Klepto and their ceo.

Miz being well aware because of his time in Snowy just what a dastardly enemy Ginger would prove to be immediately petitioned Ginger at the first wrong sentence he unfortunately uttered in the heat of battle.
Ginger was just undocking for another go at the Klepto blob when the dread info box popped up concerning forced game disconnection and he knew his fate at once.
Upon checking mail the worse fears were confirmed with a message of perma banning.

Here ends the story of the day for now.Eve's most famous player banned because of a little scamming coward who doesnt have a 1/10 of his pvp skills or balls.
