There's at least 2 other Aussies in Celestial Apocalypse that I know of, one also in Adelaide and one in Brisbane... I think.
But I tend to play at stupid hours (Midnight to 5am), so wouldn't really fit in an Aussie corp :(

I haven't seen any West Coast events yet, but that may be because the people organising events are from the east coast. For the most part, we tend to organise close to home, as it is easier to do (and means we can get to them ourselves!).

That said, you (and any other out of towners) are more than welcome to come along next time we have our (ir-)regular eve-cards excuse for a meet in Sydney :) They are normally posted both in this thread, as well as their own to be stickied.

On a side note, Arena Internet and Gaming Cafe on Rundle St. is looking at getting a few machines with eve online.
I am one of the few people that have constantly been asking about it.
The more people that ask them the more machines they'll outfit with eve (if they are smart).
If they do, I'll be there on most monday nights between 5 and 6-6:30.

If you are interested in going there to play eve, give them a call and ask about when are they getting eve.

I don't know HOW many times I have seen in MMO's the sad downfall of opportunity from the gathering of people's from our timezone. It becomes a tough and unfriendly and often moreso than not, a cold lonely envoronment where we in our timezones have no-one to play with.
So I propose to you guys a Corporation to unite the Southern-Hemispherians into a new corporation. Although I myself am no veteran at EVE, I have played manny a MMORPG and know a thing or two of how they run.
What I am willing to do here is help out the noobs with some ISK, and help us build our skills together, growing together as a group in the game.
The aim is to benefit all members, the more the Corp makes, the more the members get in return.
It doesn't matter what race/profession you are, if you are interested, send an Evemail to Helus at any time.

Last week, we had our first Canberra-EVE meet, and three of us showed up at the pub, swapped lots of ideas and advice, drank and ate nachos. We've decided to do it regularly, and try and encourage other Canberra pilots to join us.
I'd encourage other Aussies to do similar - pick a day, time and venue, and announce it. As a newer player, it's an excellent resource.

I would like to tell you all about Eve Defence Force (EDF). We are a well established PVP Corp that has been operating in Eve for over 4 years.

Not only do we have a very active PVP base with multiple daily opps but we have also just joined the Insurgency Alliance based in Venal so there is plenty of pew pew.

Geelong here, a number of mates have been playing off and on for the past year. Theres about 10 accounts floating around in my circle, but atm only 4 of them are active players cause they quit. I guess EVE can get a bit boring when your skills are low. I'm having more fun now i've got T2 fittings and Battleships and stuff.

HROLT (Hammer of Light) is an experienced corp that is always looking for more members, we are an Industry corp / Anti-pirate corp. I'd love to get a few more Aussies in the corp so that you're on when we are ;)

This sounds like a fantastic idea.

I am touring the world atm, but will be back in Australia in January. After attending the BoB BBQ I can say that meets are a ****e load of fun, and i would love to organise something once i am back in Oz.

But if someone wants to take the initiative and form a mailing list of aussie charcters it would make life much easier.

I didnt realise there was this many Aussies playing an I would like to say that it is great that some of the bigger corps have some Aussies in them.

Is a shame we couldn't get an Aussie alliance happening, but the logistics of it all probably wouldn't lt it work to well, seeing a lot of the bigger corps and alliances are a mix of people from all over the world..

Anyway GREAT to see all the other Aussies ID'ing themselves...

No timecards sold in Adelaide that I am aware of. Unless you use the money transfer services directly linked to a bank account, you will need to use a credit card at least once.
